SIBERIAN TIGERS IN LOVE --- THE LAST FEW OF THE AMURS!

Image
SIBERIAN TIGERS IN LOVE THE LAST FEW   OF THE AMURS SARASIJ MAJUMDER   There are astonishing behaviors of wild animals, and here I tell an incident of a male BIG CAT. Siberian Tigers are the most powerful, and largest of Tiger species. This   Siberian Tiger Travels over 200 Km Across Russian Forest To Reunite With Former Mate. In a stunning display of determination, Boris travelled an incredible 200+ km for nearly three years to reunite with Svetlaya. In a heartwarming tale of love and conservation, two Amur tigers, Boris and Svetlaya, have been reunited in the Russian wilderness after being separated by nearly 200 kilometres. Rescued as orphans from the Sikhote-Alin mountains in 2012, Boris and Svetlaya were raised together in a conservation program with minimal human contact. The goal was to release them back into the wild at 18 months old, which was successfully done in 2014 in the Pri-Amur r...

ASIATIC LION-INDIA (Panthera Leo Persica) ENDANGERED SPECIS-1

Image
ASIATIC LION-INDIA (Panthera Leo Persica) ENDANGERED SPECIS-1 SARASIJ MAJUMDER   India is the house of   8 endangered animal species. ASIATIC LION   is one of them. The lion was once found throughout Africa, major part of Asia and in some part of Europe but now they exist only in Africa with one exception, i.e.   INDIA. The last remaining Asiatic lions are found only in Sasan-Gir National Park, and surrounding area   in Gujarat,   India, which is primarily created to protect the species. Currently, there are approximately 400 lions in the park, and adjoining area. And they are endangered! The present total number is not comfortable. About 1,000 in number is right to sustain. An epidemic, and they may be lost. The earliest lion fossils, which are recognizable as lions, were found at Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania and are believed to be up to 2 million years old. These fossils suggest that lions and snow leopard ancestors may have hy...

MAN-EATER PREDATOR-- GUSTAVE-A NILE CROCODILE

Image
MAN-EATER PREDATORS GUSTAVE IS PRESENT NUMBER-1 SARASIJ MAJUMDER   The predator species   that has eaten the most humans throughout history is likely to be   the  crocodile.   Past records are unknown. One important reason is—it was there much before evolution of MAN, and still going STRONG!. And there’s crocodile everywhere.   While sharks often receive more media attention for attacks on humans, crocodiles are responsible for significantly more fatalities due to their aggressive nature and territorial behaviour. Estimates suggest that crocodiles kill thousands of people each year, particularly majority   in regions where they coexist with human populations. In contrast, shark attacks are far less frequent, averaging around 80 unprovoked attacks annually worldwide, with only a handful resulting in fatalities. Other predators like lions and tigers have also been known to attack humans, especially in areas where they come into conflic...

MOST QUEER ANIMAL ANIMAL NUMBER --12 SARASIJ MAJUMDER While I was in school, I studied BIOLOGY, as a part of my science curriculum. Since then, I remain interested in both—Plant World, and Animal World. I keep on reading something very interesting, and like to share.   Today, I will share about a sea-animal, not known beyond the Specialists in Ocean animals. PISTOL SHRIMP: Although it is rarely mentioned in most dangerous animal lists, thus guy (standing proudly at 4′’) is one of the loudest on the planet, and is able to kill preys through sheer sound and generated heat. Being called a  shrimp  doesn't exactly make you known for having sizable strength or an intimidating presence. But there's one little weird wonder of the sea — the pistol shrimp — that crushes the stereotype in a dramatic way. It's so  powerful  it not only shoots and annihilates its prey; it has thrown the U.S. Navy off track once, during WWII (SONAR CONFUSION), landed a...

CHEETAHS IN INDIA THE STORY OF   EXTINCTION AND REVIVAL SARASIJ MAJUMDER INDIAN SCENERION-PAST. The story of the Indian cheetah is a tale of ancient glory, royal hunts, colonial exploitation, and the consequences of human interference on delicate ecosystems. What was once a symbol of grace and speed in India’s rich wildlife heritage, met a tragic fate, leading to its eventual extinction in the country. Cheetah's roots in India can be traced back to ancient times. Cave paintings dating back to the Neolithic age in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh make it evident that cheetahs were once found across the country, particularly in central India, where they roamed in semi-desert areas, scrub jungles, and grasslands. Throughout history, cheetahs had a special place in the hearts of   INDIAN Kings and nobles. They were admired for their speed and elegance, making them ideal companions for the nobles during hunts and pastimes. As time marched on, however, the bond between ...
