TRAVEL:- 2025/03 RAJASTHAN//5 (5th time) SARASIJ MAJUMDER Dear Readers, I am going for a 'TRAVEL' in RAJASTHAN, from tomorrow to 16th March, 2025. It is a Family Trip. The itinerary made by me to cover the places  is pasted below.  A route map made by me is also furnished at the top. 4 persons, SUV start to finish the round trip, 11 days, 10 nights, 3000 km app. will cost about Rs.1.25 Lakh total. We will be staying in 'RTDC' HOTELS. Details are shared-- if any reader wishes to  travel the same route.  I will not be able to post any BLOG, or NEWS-LETTER during this period, A travelogue will be posted, after I return.  Have a good day. Note: 2025/1 was Kolkata.  2025/2 was in Indore for playing Bridge.  I am, however is a resident of Rajasthan at present.

With an area of 1050 acres it’s   heaven if you stay for 6 days and may be hell if you stay much longer. Just for the sake of comparison,   B.E. College (now IIEST) campus is 1,400 acres. My father was running a very small manufacturing unit, in Dum Dum, and was also auditor for a few Marwari organizations.   One of them was Mr. Paresh Khandelwal, having a small shop in Kavaratti island, capital of Lakshadweep. The 90 km.   long river flows through the Alwar District of Rajasthan. It got dried, and   was revived in 1990. It remained dry for 60 years. The turnaround started in 1986, when people of Bhanota- Kolyala village with   the help of Tarun Bharat Sangha, managed by Rajendra Singh, constructed a   JOHAD, (earthen check dam) at the source of the dried river; following this,   villages that lay in its catchment area, and along the dried river bed, they also built tiny earthen dams, the largest being a 244 mt. long and 7 mt.
