Unique Country in the World: Many countries in the world have their own unique identity. But the country we are going to tell you about today is very special. The total length of this country is only 12 km and the maximum  width is 2000 meters. It has only one airport, one hospital, and one police station.

The name of this country is Tuvalu.

The total population of this country is 12,373, as of  2022.

This country is a Polynesian island country located in the Pacific Ocean between Hawaii and Australia. The capital of this country is Funafuti. Tuvaluan and the Australian dollar are used as currencies here. Its neighbouring countries are Kiribati and Fiji. This country is made up of nine small islands. On November 9 in the year 2021, the then Foreign Minister Simon Coffey gave a speech standing in knee-deep water. He also brought forward the pain of Tuvalu sinking into the sea.

Tuvalu was discovered in 1568. After that, Britain took control of it. Tuvalu gained independence from the United Kingdom on October 1, 1978. There is  parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy. They still come under British rule and are ruled by a Governor General. If we talk about the total area of this country, Tuvalu is spread over only 26 square kilometres. According to the World Bank, Tuvalu had a total population of 11,097 in 2016. But about 91 percent of people are atheists and rest follow Christianity.

Sea level rise is the biggest threat to Tuvalu. NASA estimates that by the year 2050, many parts of the country will get submerged in tides. Moreover, due to the seawater, the crops here have also started to deteriorate. Due to this people are facing a food crisis. A separate arrangement to control this is being made here. Cultivable land is being increased and sea walls are being built for protecting it. The biggest ray of hope for Tuvalu is Australia which is paving the way for it to migrate, under emergency.

The scope of tourism is increasing, and now many tourists are visiting the Country.

The natural scenery and the beauty of the sea all around are mesmerizing. However, earlier very few tourists used to come here. An average of 2000 tourists visit the country of Tuvalu every year now. Lack of clean water is the main reason why fewer people come here. The biggest source of pure and fresh water here is rain. And there will be only fish to eat. So in such a situation if one is a vegetarian, it will be very difficult for him to survive here. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) report, 2,000 people visited Tuvalu in 2016. So in the year 2014, the number of people traveling here was only one thousand.
