  DELHI AND IT’S GARBAGE AN ADMINISTRATIVE MESS SARASIJ MAJUMDER INTRODUCTION : Central government disclosed data before two-judge Supreme Court bench during hearing of PIL on rising pollution levels in NCR & nearby areas. Over 14,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste is generated in Delhi-NCR each day, Centre tells SC. The above, and more such details related to waste management in Delhi and NCR are part of a central government affidavit filed in the Supreme Court. There are 3 landfill sites namely Bhalswa, Ghazipur and Okhla. Bhalswa landfill site were commissioned in the year 1994, Ghazipur in 1984 and Okhla in 1996.   MAN MADE DISASTER NATURE’S RESPONSE AT WAYANAD WESTERN GHAT GETTING DESTROYED SARASIJ MAJUMDER The devastating landslides resulted in the deaths of over 289 people and injuries to more than 300 in WAYANAD district, KERALA.   Mr. Shah expressed condolences to the families affected and emphasized the need for non-political discourse on this issue. The above figures are likely to rise, as rescue operations are on. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described it as one of the worst disasters in the state’s history .   BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY--I GHULAM DASTAGIR: AN UNSUNG HERO SARASIJ MAJUMDER He was the Deputy Station Superintendent of Bhopal Junction on December 3rd 1984. Yes, the Night Bhopal Gas tragedy happened. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for so many, he stayed there to complete some pending work. At midnight when he stepped on to the platform, he felt an itch in his throat and burning sensation in his eyes. He rushed to his Station Superintendent's office, but he was dead already. The Gorakhpur - Mumbai express train with more than 1000 passengers on board was waiting on the platform, for which the departure time was 20 minutes away. The 90 km.   long river flows through the Alwar District of Rajasthan. It got dried, and   was revived in 1990. It remained dry for 60 years. Hence, wrote, and shared this BLOG for information. Government of India does not currently issue a single, universal " CITIZENSHIP CARD " to its citizens. There is no standalone document that definitively proves Indian citizenship for Citizen of India. While there is a legislative provision under the Citizenship Act for the government to issue national identity cards, it has not been universally implemented for the general population.
