The Election Commission announces second phase of Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls in 12 states and Union Territories; Process to start from tomorrow and conclude on 7th February, next year. In the Indian electoral system, SIR stands for Special Intensive Revision. It is a special drive launched by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that the electoral rolls (voter lists) are accurate, complete, and up to date. The purpose of this process is to include eligible voters who may have been left out and to remove names of those who are no longer eligible, such as deceased or shifted persons.   The Lovers Of Valdaro EVEN DEATH CAN’T SEPARATE SARASIJ MAJUMDER In early February 2007, a team of archaeologists led by Elena Menotti announced that their excavation in the village of Valdaro — near Mantua, Italy — had yielded a remarkable discovery: the skeletons of a man and woman lying face to face, arms and legs entwined. Embraced tenderly, her legs gathered and crossed with each other, his arms on her neck, hers on his shoulders, united for over 6000 years in a peace of abandonment that perhaps was Love. They are the "lovers of Valdaro", two skeletons dating back to the Neolithic period. They belonged to two young people, a man and a woman. On the left is the skeleton of a woman aged between 16 and 20, on the right a man between 18 and 22. The truly exceptional element is given by their position: faced, that is, FACING TOWARDS EACH OTHER, and not lying in profile. In simple language—‘One Life is not good enough to understand the mind of a Woman’—that is what, Devyani—the heroine of the poem said to Koch, her beloved. And I agree after completing 46 years of married life! However, based on my experience—I wanted to write an article on the subject, sharing my understanding for Romeos of future generations. Writers also, somewhat loosely used the nomenclatures in their writings. Though they have many commonalities, each one   of them is different, in their PRACTICE,   PURPOSE OF LIFE, AND LEADING   THE LIFE.   We will discuss about them, with the basic differences, in short. The one thing common about them is- that all of them are ‘Spiritual Persons’, and carry the higher form of ‘Sanatan Dharma’, or ‘Hinduism’—as we may understand easily. 1.0   RISHI: He is connected to, and composer of   VEDA, Vedanga, Vedanta--or Knowledge.
