MAN-EATER PREDATOR-- GUSTAVE-A NILE CROCODILE

MAN-EATER PREDATORS

GUSTAVE IS PRESENT NUMBER-1

The predator species  that has eaten the most humans throughout history is likely to be  the  crocodile.  Past records are unknown. One important reason is—it was there much before evolution of MAN, and still going STRONG!. And there’s crocodile everywhere.  While sharks often receive more media attention for attacks on humans, crocodiles are responsible for significantly more fatalities due to their aggressive nature and territorial behaviour.

Estimates suggest that crocodiles kill thousands of people each year, particularly majority  in regions where they coexist with human populations. In contrast, shark attacks are far less frequent, averaging around 80 unprovoked attacks annually worldwide, with only a handful resulting in fatalities.

Other predators like lions and tigers have also been known to attack humans, especially in areas where they come into conflict with human populations, but their overall impact is much less than that of crocodiles.

IMAGE shows  Gustave, living in NILES.  He was located last in 2008. He’s a Nile Crocodile who is reported to have devoured between 275–300 humans over the course of his life.

As far as preying upon living humans goes, the Saltwater and Nile Crocodiles have beaten all other contestants. There are a few more dangerous animals, but they’re not dangerous for predatory reasons.

The Champawat Tiger was a Bengal Tigress responsible for an estimated 436 deaths in Nepal and the Kumaon division of India, during the last years of the 19th century and the first years of the 20th century. Her attacks have been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest number of fatalities from a tiger ,as well as any predator. She was shot to death in 1907, by JIM CORBETT.

Corbett claimed that the tiger's broken canine teeth prevented her from killing her natural prey, causing her to become a man-eater.
