ABDUL MAJID HANGED

BANGABANDHU MURDER PARTIALLY AVENGED

HE WAS HIDING IN KOLKATA

BANGLADESH NEWS

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

A former army captain of Bangladesh, who murdered Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the biggest hero of Bangladesh's independence in 1971, was arrested.   Abdul Majid, the convicted killer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was hiding in Kolkata for about 23 years before arrest and handing over to  Bangladesh.  He was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Kolkata Police in central Kolkata’s Bowbazar area. During the arrest, he was found in possession of six country-made firearms and 100 pieces of 8 mm ammunition. Abdul Majid was a resident of Liluah Rail Colony in Howrah district . He was arrested in KOLKATA, and possibly  escorted back to Bangladesh , and handed over to Bangla Desh Government on  07/04/2020.

(EDITED)

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and almost his entire family were killed during the early hours of 15 August 1975, when a group of Bangladesh Army officers went into his residence and assassinated Sheikh Mujib as part of a coup.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Zulfikar Hayat passed an order after Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit under Dhaka Metropolitan Police produced him before the court around 12.15 hrs (Apr 7). Majed was taken to the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj by a prison van around 13. 05 hrs.

(EDITED)

Majed was one of the six remaining fugitive killers of Bangabandhu believed to be hiding abroad with no confirmed whereabouts.

Majed served in Bangladesh Embassy in Senegal. He retired from Bangladesh Army in 1980 and joined the civil administration as a Deputy Secretary. He worked at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation, Ministry of Youth and Sports as the director of youth development and also in the National Savings Directorate.

Majed disappeared in 1997 after Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was voted Prime Minister of Bangladesh. In 1998, he was sentenced to death on the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman case by a trial court.

The murderer of Bangladesh's independence hero Sheikh Mujibur Rahman caught after 45 years, and was awarded death penalty.

You might be wondering what is so shocking in this? So let me tell you that Abdul Majed was caught after 23 years and after interrogation it was found that he was hiding in Kolkata, West Bengal for the last 23years.

He was hiding in Kolkata for so many years and no one came to know about it. This is a  very serious matter. There was also news that he kept changing his address in Kolkata several times over the years. And the surprising thing is that he also possesses an Indian passport.

This leaves a question mark on the competence of Intelligent Agency of  West Bengal or Kolkata Police. Are there more such people who are hiding in Bengal?

Abdul Majed not only killed Mujibur Rahman but was also accused of killing many AWAMI  leaders.

(EDITED)

All mainstream medias did not carry this big news, perhaps due to Corona.

Abdul Majed was hanged by the Government of Bangladesh on 12.04.2020 at 12.10.

One Curtain on Mujib Conspiracy and Murder is dropped.

Some Fugitives are still living in CANADA.
