The World Bank has ranked India as the fourth most equal
country in the world in its 2025 report, with a Gini Index of 25.5. This marks
major progress in income equality, especially for a country as big and varied
as India. It shows that government efforts to reduce poverty and support the
poor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds
delegation-level talks with Brazilian President Lula da Silva in Brasília;
Focus on strategic partnership in areas of mutual interest including trade and
defence.

India and Brazil to sign four MoUs to foster
cooperation in areas of counter-terrorism, sharing of confidential information,
renewable energy and Agriculture research.

From Brazil, the Prime Minister will travel to
Namibia's capital Windhoek today, on the final leg of his five-nation tour.

India abstained from voting on the United
Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution on the situation in Afghanistan and
noted that a “business as usual” approach without new and targeted initiatives
is unlikely to deliver the outcomes the international community envisions for
the Afghan people.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched a
pilot nomination-based golden visa programme for residents of India. This new
policy offers lifetime residency in the UAE on payment of a fee of AED 100,000
(around Rs 23.3 lakh). Unlike the previous golden visa scheme, it does not
require investment in property or business.

Over 93,000 pilgrims pay obeisance in first 5
days of Amarnath Yatra. Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra that commenced on the 3rd
of this month. The Holy Cave is known for the ice stalagmite that forms within,
resembling a Shivalinga. The Cave is situated at an altitude of 12,756 feet,
nestled in the Himalayas in the Kashmir region.

Bharat bandh or nationwide strike expected on
July 9 with over 25 crore workers participating, affecting banking, postal, and
transport services.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on
Tuesday called for stern and exemplary action against Jalaluddin alias Chhangur
Baba, the alleged mastermind of a religious conversion racket and said that his
abominable act is not just anti-social but also anti-national.
9.
The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a plea
of Turkish company Celebi Aviation challenging the revocation of its security
clearance by the Union government in the interest of national security.
10. The
Andhra Pradesh government has launched a pioneering AI-based mosquito control
programme named the Smart Mosquito Surveillance System (SMoSS). This innovative
initiative aims to monitor and reduce mosquito populations efficiently during
the monsoon season. It is the first of its kind in India to integrate
artificial intelligence with public health vector control.

12. Jamaluddin
and his aide Neetu alias Nasreen — both residents of Madhpur in Balrampur
district — were arrested by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh
Police. A non-bailable warrant was issued by a court against Jamaluddin.

TARIFF WAR:
Mr. Trump imposed high trade Tariff on
several countries, including Japan, and South Korea—his long time Alleys.
He also signed an executive order extending an initial ninety-day pause
on so-called reciprocal tariffs affecting dozens of nations, due to expire
tomorrow, until August 1.
GLOBAL
REACTIONS:
·
South Korea said that
it would escalate efforts to reach a “mutually beneficial result” with the
United States before the new tariffs take effect.
·
Japan’s top trade minister said he had spoken
with the U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and that talks would continue.
·
BRICS countries,
including China and Russia, have spoken out against Trump’s threat of
additional 10 percent tariffs on its members as the bloc met in Brazil
yesterday.
·
Separately, the European Union (EU) plans to
sign a temporary trade deal with Washington this week that would stabilize
tariffs at 10 percent, the bloc’s trade commissioner Maroš Šefčovič said on
Monday.
A.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said
Monday that he plans to
meet with his Chinese counterpart in the coming weeks to discuss trade and
other issues. Last month, Bessent spoke with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in
London, a conversation that saw both sides ease restrictions set earlier this
year. Issues yet to be resolved include Trump’s demand that China address
fentanyl trafficking, and aims for the divestiture of TikTok from its Chinese
parent company.

“The
constantly changing tariffs and shifting deadlines is an arbitrary approach,
which may get countries to the table, but very few will be able to tackle trade
issues comprehensively if the Trump administration cannot guarantee when, and
how the trade chaos will come to an end.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with
Trump in Washington yesterday to discuss a newly proposed sixty-day ceasefire
in Gaza and recent operations in Iran. The latest proposal mediators sent to
Hamas includes a hostage and prisoner exchange plus ramped-up aid distributed
by the United Nations, according to AP. The latest round of ceasefire talks in Qatar
ended without a breakthrough, though indirect talks continued.

At least eleven people died and
hundreds were arrested by police during anti-government protests across the
country on Monday, the thirty-five-year anniversary of a major pro-democracy
rally. A wave of demonstrations over alleged corruption, police brutality, and
high cost-of-living has been ongoing since last year. Authorities shut down roads
to Nairobi and blocked non-essential pedestrians from entering the city center.

Greek authorities said that more than 1,200
migrants from Libya have been detained in
the past several days. They are being held in Crete and Gavdos. The surge of
arrivals comes as Greece’s foreign minister is in Libya to discuss the
migration crisis. Later this week, European Commissioner Magnus Brunner is also
expected in Libya to encourage stronger action on migrant departures.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security
has announced it
will end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) migrants from both countries. The
move takes effect in about sixty days and will affect tens of thousands of
migrants. Honduras and Nicaragua received TPS
status in 1999 following a hurricane; Trump revoked it in his first term, and
the Joe Biden administration later reinstated it.

HOUTHIS in RED SEA :Three crew members are reportedly dead
after a drone and boat attack on a Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned cargo ship on
Monday evening, according to a EU naval force. The EU force and Yemen’s exiled
government said the Houthis were responsible, though the group did not
immediately claim the attack. The rebels did claim an attack on a different
bulk cargo ship hours earlier, which they said sank.

Monday that the United States would send additional
weapons to Ukraine, just days after Washington stopped shipments of some
supplies.

“Pakistan, Hindu Families asked to pay US$35,000
to get back abducted children converted to Islam”, Bitter Winter,
July 4, 2025: “On June 20, 2025, a court in Shahdadpur, Sindh, issued a
controversial ruling regarding the custody of two Hindu minors, Dashina Bai
(15) and Harjeet Kumar, also known as Hani (13). The court mandated that their
families deposit personal surety bonds equivalent to US$35,000 each, an
enormous sum for them, as a pre-condition for the children’s return.

The world's first-ever malaria treatment
suitable for babies and very young children has been approved for use by
Switzerland. Drug manufacturer Novartis has received approval from Swiss
authorities for its new malaria drug named Coartem.
CRIME &
PUNISHMENT:
The International Criminal Court on Tuesday
issued arrest warrants for two top Taliban leaders, accusing them of
persecuting girls and women in Afghanistan.
Haibatullah Akhundzada, supreme leader of
the Taliban, and Abdul Hakim Haqqani, chief justice of the Taliban, are
suspected of “ordering, inducing or soliciting the crime against humanity of
persecution” against girls, women and “other persons non-conforming with the
Taliban’s policy on gender, gender identity or expression,” the ICC said in a
statement.
In a breakthrough under Operation Chakra-V,
the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) busted a sophisticated cybercrime
syndicate operating from Noida that was allegedly duping citizens of the United
Kingdom and Australia through tech support scams. The syndicate's key
operative, Nishant Walia, a partner in the firm FirstIdea, was arrested during
the operation and is being produced before the Special CBI Court.
MISHAPS: -
Roman Starovoit, Russia’s former transport
minister, was found dead in what officials said was
a suicide by gunshot wound on Monday after being fired from his post by Russian
President Vladimir Putin only hours before. Some Russian media outlets reported that
Starovoit could have died as early as Friday, days before the order to dismiss
him was made public; the exact timeline hasn’t been confirmed.
Three students were killed and five students
were injured yesterday when a school van was hit by the
Villupuram-Mayiladuthurai passenger train between Cuddalore and Alapakkam in
Tamil Nadu.
Three personnel of Central Reserve Police
Force suffered injuries in an IED blast triggered by Maoists in insurgency-hit
Bijapur district in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday evening.
Condition of two jawans was stated to be critical while another was out of
danger.

one successful year, Indore Municipal Corporation is set to celebrate with a
massive plantation drive on July 12, during which 20k saplings will be planted
at the Reoti Range hill.
The Haryana government shared plans to make
Asia’s biggest jungle safari in the Aravalli Hills. The large project will help
protect wildlife and attract tourists, while also offering job opportunities to
local people. This step is a major move towards eco-friendly development.
Nagaland remains severely affected by
flooding, with several low-lying areas along the Assam border submerged
following heavy rainfall last night.
In the United States, the death toll from a
devastating flood in Central Texas rose past 100. Rescue operations
continue.

reported many hundreds of deaths many times in USA due to Forest Fire,

appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the International Cricket
