The Election Commission of India announced the Election schedule for the Bihar Assembly. Assembly Elections in Bihar to be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November; Counting of votes on 14th November.  In the first phase, the voting will be held on 121 Assembly seats while in the second phase, 122 constituencies will go to polls.

The Election Commission also announces By-election for eight assembly seats in seven states on 11th November.

The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, launched by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with AIM, AICTE, and NITI Aayog, is a nationwide innovation initiative engaging over 1 crore students from Classes 6–12 to promote creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking.  The hybrid-format competition includes project submissions, mentoring, and a live innovation event on 13 October 2025.

 SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY:

 Vyoma Mitra, developed by ISRO, is India’s first semi-humanoid robot designed for the Gaganyaan mission, aimed at supporting uncrewed test flights before India’s first human spaceflight in 2027.

Meaning “friend in space” (from Sanskrit Vyoma = space, Mitra = friend), Vyoma Mitra can talk, recognize voices, operate control panels, monitor spacecraft systems, and respond intelligently in both English and Hindi.

CRIME & PUNISHMENT:

In a joint raid conducted by Special Task Force teams, Kolkata and Bihar Police busted an illegal improvised active firearms manufacturing unit operating under the guise of a furniture shop in Bihar and arrested two people.

 The arms were being made inside an establishment called ‘Baba Furniture’ owned by 40-year-old Mukesh Kumar in Bihar’s Gaya.
