*1-November -1956*: Indian Govt re-organized the states according to linguistic principles and inaugurates second Five-Year Plan. On November 1, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu state are observing formation day while Delhi, Chandigarh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar were given the status of union territories on this day.

After a meeting with India’s Défense Minister in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,  U.S. Défense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the two countries had signed a ten-year framework on military cooperation.

 The 23rd Working Group Meeting of the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Military Technical Cooperation and Défense Industry was held in Moscow.

India's Larsen and Toubro signed an agreement with US firm General Atomics for the licensed manufacturing of MQ-9B Sky Guardian UAVs in India with a high level of technology transfer.

India and Sri Lanka held the first Joint Working Group Meeting on agriculture in New Delhi.

Chhattisgarh marks its 25th foundation day on November 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Naya Raipur.

The Trump administration is capping annual refugee admissions at a record-low 7,500 people and reserving most slots for white South Africans. Previous limit was 125,000 for Refugee Admission per year in USA. For decades, the U.S. refugee program has applied to people fleeing war and political violence. Trump has sought to reshape refugee admissions in the United States, which as recently as the 2024 fiscal year welcomed thousands of people from countries such as Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Syria, and Venezuela.

Trump returned USA from a trip to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea that saw Vietnam pledge to increase purchases of U.S. goods and Japan and South Korea detail planned U.S. investments. Trump also signed a commitment to cooperate on rare earths with Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand, and struck a trade truce with China.  He did not stay in the region for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. In overall—Trump seems to achieve his goals.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping was a “turning point” in bilateral relations. Carney’s office said they agreed today to “resolve outstanding trade issues and irritants.”  He also accepted an invitation to visit China.

The rebel group’s Mali faction, Jama’ at Nusrat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen, is close to capturing Mali’s capital city of Bamako, security experts told the Wall Street Journal. The group has blocked fuel imports into the country in recent weeks as part of a pressure campaign against the military junta. On Tuesday, the U.S. embassy told Americans in the country to depart.

 Afghan military analysts claim that training centres of the Islamic State terror outfit are operating inside Pakistan. On the other hand Afghan authorities have arrested an ISIS terrorist, Saeedullah, who admitted receiving ideological and combat training in Pakistan’s Quetta region before entering Afghanistan.

Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has issued a damning warning from her exile in New Delhi: unless her party, the Awami League, is allowed to contest next year’s national election, millions of its supporters will boycott the vote.

Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center: China launched its Shenzhou-21 spacecraft on Friday, about 11 a.m. Eastern, carrying a new three-person crew to man the country's Tiangong space station on a mission focused on scientific research. The replacement crew includes China's youngest-ever taikonaut — as China's space program calls its astronauts — and, for the first time since Beijing launched its program, it will also include live mammals.

Chasing the target of 126 runs, hosts sealed the win in 13.2 overs, losing 6 wickets. For India, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
