Parliament has passed the Repealing and Amending
Bill, 2025 with the Rajya Sabha approving it yesterday after discussion. Lok
Sabha had passed this legislation. The Bill repeals 71 Acts and also amends
four Acts.
The Parliament has also passed the Sabka Bima
Sabki Raksha (Amendment of Insurance Laws) Bill 2025 with the Rajya Sabha
approving it.
India has achieved a landmark expansion in
high-performance computing by deploying 37 supercomputers under the National
Supercomputing Mission (NSM). This initiative, informed to the Lok Sabha by the
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The Ministry of Textiles, in association with
the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation, conducted a stakeholder consultation meeting
in New Delhi to explore partnership opportunities for the development of PM

Trump announced a naval blockade on sanctioned
oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela and mentioned the country’s
government as a foreign terrorist organization yesterday.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez called
Trump’s post a violation of international law and pledged to denounce it at the
United Nations.
An estimated 40 percent of black-market ships
that move Venezuelan oil are currently sanctioned by the United States,
according to oil tracking service TankerTrackers.com. A U.S. military blockade
on those ships could significantly hurt Venezuela’s oil sector, which is
responsible for more than half of the country’s fiscal revenue. Global oil
prices rose following Trump’s announcement.

Liquor Scam: Deputy secretary to former

Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has announced key
changes to the National Pension System (NPS). Under the revised norms,
non-government (private sector) NPS subscribers can now withdraw up to 80 per
cent of their accumulated pension corpus, compared to the earlier cap of 60 per
cent.
