Kaundinya, the Indian Navy’s pioneering stitched sailing vessel that revives

maiden overseas voyage on 29 Dec 2025. The vessel will be flagged off from
Porbandar, Gujarat, for Muscat, Oman, symbolically retracing the historic
maritime routes that connected India with the wider Indian Ocean world for
millennia.
ISRO
has successfully launched the BlueBird Block-2 satellite into a precise
low-Earth orbit using the reliable LVM3-M6 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space
Centre in Sriharikota. The mission lifted off at 8:54 AM IST on 24 December

MAIDUGURI,
Nigeria, Dec 24 (Reuters) - An explosion tore through a mosque during evening
prayers on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the capital of Nigeria’s Borno state, a
Reuters witness said. There was no immediate word on casualties or official
comment. Unconfirmed news reports – 7 Dead.
At
least 1 killed in crude bomb explosion in Bangladesh’s Dhaka. Witnesses said
unidentified men hurled the bomb from a flyover in front of Bangladesh
Muktijoddha Sangsad, the central office of 1971 Liberation War veterans, in
Dhaka's Moghbazar area.
In
Bangladesh, at least five people were shot dead and more than 10 others injured
in violent clashes between two rival groups over control of char land in
Noakhali’s Hatiya upazila.

OBITUARY;
Renowned
litterateur and Jnanpith Award awardee, late Vinod Kumar Shukla, was cremated
with full state honour yesterday in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Shri
Shukla passed away on 23 Dec during treatment at AIIMS Raipur. He was 88.
