The Bactrian camels deployed in the cold deserts of Ladakh have been vital to high-altitude logistics, carrying heavy loads across difficult terrain and steep gradients.

China sees first fiscal revenue drop since 2020 with 1.7% fall. Tax revenue rose 0.8% in 2025, ‌while income ‌from non-tax sources slumped by 11.3%, ‍Finance Ministry said.

The Centre's fiscal deficit at the end of December stood at ₹8.55 lakh crore, or 54.5% of the annual budget target for 2025-26, compared to 56.7% in the year-ago period, government data released on Friday (January 30, 2026) showed.
