Odisha will introduce QR codes on land ownership documents to enable instant digital verification of property details. The Endangerment Finding is the 2009 scientific conclusion that six greenhouse gases qualify as air pollution and harm public health—and can thus be regulated under the 1970 Clean Air Act. While the measure does not have enough support to withstand a potential presidential veto, it nevertheless stands as a symbolic rejection of the tariffs, which Trump argued on social media yesterday have given the United States “Economic and National Security.”

Iran’s president said yesterday that the country is willing to open its nuclear sites for inspections to verify it is not building a nuclear weapon. The concession came the same day that Trump discussed Iran policy with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. Trump wrote on social media that he told Netanyahu he will continue to seek a deal with Iran if possible, though he provided no further details.

Barbados-- the Caribbean country overwhelmingly delivered a third term to Prime Minister Mia Mottley in parliamentary elections yesterday. Mottley’s Barbados Labour Party won every seat up for grabs, state television reported.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright yesterday became the highest-ranking U.S. official to visit Venezuela since the United States captured former President Nicolás Maduro last month. Conflicting accounts emerged yesterday of why commercial airspace was temporarily closed Tuesday over El Paso, Texas, near the U.S.-Mexico border. Bangladesh Election: Counting of votes is underway across Bangladesh following the conclusion of polling in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and the referendum on the July National Charter.

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is on course for a sweeping victory in the 13th national election, leading in 170 constituencies as of 3:30 am, according to unofficial counts and party tallies.

Days after a terror accused named Abdul Rehman was murdered by gangster Arun Chaudhary inside the Neemka Jail in Faridabad following a brawl, the Haryana government has suspended the jail superintendent and the DSP in-charge of prison security.

MISHAPS: -

A major fire breaks out at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai on Thursday night, triggering a large emergency response. Flames are seen rising from the dockyard area in a widely shared video. The blaze starts in a structure linked to the Western Naval Command, and crews work to contain it.

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) on Thursday clarified that reports suggesting that the investigation into the Air India Flight AI-171 accident has been finalised are incorrect and speculative. It said the investigation is still in progress and no final conclusions have been reached.

Central Pollution Control Board has ordered the immediate shutdown of units 6 and 8 at Parli Thermal Power Station in Beed district.  The power station's consent to operate expired in December 2024.High air pollutions were discharged. Effluent and sewage disposal into drains were also noted.
