*सुतप्तमपि पानीयं पुनर्गच्छति शीतताम् ॥*

Meaning: It is not possible to change a person’s habits or nature by advice or instruction. Just like a well-heated drink always turns cold in the course of time.

Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Japan have agreed to join appropriate efforts to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and said that they would take steps to stabilize energy markets.

During a Pentagon press briefing on March 19, US Défense Secretary Pete Hegseth vowed to “finish” the Iran war, saying that he spoke to the families of six US service members who died in Iraq last week and they asked him and President Donald Trump to ensure they “do not stop until the job is done”. Hegseth further added that Iran conflict is not ‘a forever war’ or a ‘quagmire’.

“From a very purely, narrow, sort of tactical military perspective, I think the war has been very successful. I think the difficulty lies in trying to translate those very narrow tactical military gains into some kind of larger strategic outcome. And it’s far from clear that the (USA) administration has any roadmap for how to get from here to there.” —CFR expert Max Boot.
