HORMUZ:IRGC says Hormuz closed until US blockade lifted. Two Indian-flagged vessels have come under attack while crossing the Strait, prompting New Delhi to summon Iran’s Ambassador. 2 other Tankers were stopped and forced to return. There is difference in paper claims and reality. Iran says it will not open the Strait of Hormuz unless the US stops blockading its ports.  US President has lashed out at Iran, saying it could not “blackmail” the US by using its control over the Strait of Hormuz.

NUCLEAR MORITORIUM, AND ENRICHED URANIUM: Mr Trumps social post on these—and Iran’s response published,  are contradictory.

LEBANON: Israel says established a ‘yellow line’ in Lebanon, as it has in Gaza. Hezbollah’s leader, Naim Qassem, said the truce between Lebanon and Israel could not be “one-sided”, and that its fighters remain in the field, prepared to respond to Israeli aggression.

The Foreign Ministry of Bahrain has condemned the “terrorist” attack that killed a French soldier serving with UNIFIL, and wounded three others as a “flagrant violation” of international law. In a statement, the ministry said it affirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with Lebanon and support for the efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

OBITUARY:

Brazil’s Oscar Schmidt, one of the most prolific scorers in basketball history, has passed away. He was 68. Schmidt, who had been hospitalized in the São Paulo metropolitan area after feeling ill, dead on Friday after a long battle with a brain tumour.

CRIME & PUNISHMENT:

In Manipur, two civilians, including retired Indian Army personnel, have been killed in an ambush by suspected armed militants today at National Highway 202 (Imphal-Ukhrul Road). According to the Police report, the incident took place around 1.30 PM near TM Kasom village along the National Highway in Ukhrul district
