*Meaning* : Whatever is not right to be done,
must never be done even on pain of death; and what is right to do, must be done
even if one should die for the same.
*भावार्थ* : जो कार्य निषिद्ध है, उसे प्राण कण्ठगत (मृत्यु संकट
उपस्थित होने की स्थिति) पर भी नहीं करना चाहिये। जो कर्तव्य है, उसे अपने प्राण की परवाह न करते
हुये भी अवश्य करना चाहिये.

IRAN WAR:
Al Jazeera spoke with Iran’s FM Araghchi on31/03,
about the ongoing war. Here are some of the major talking points from the discussion:
Iran has received messages from Washington,
including directly from US envoy Steve Witkoff, but no negotiations are taking
place.
Tehran has no faith that negotiations with the
US would be fruitful. “The trust level is at zero. We don’t see honesty.”
Iran is not afraid of a potential US ground
invasion. “We know very well how to defend ourselves. In a ground war, we can
do it even better.”
The Strait of Hormuz is only “closed” to ships
belonging to countries at war with Iran.
After the war, it will be up to Iran and Oman to
decide on the security of the strait, which could be a “peaceful waterway”.
Iran is reportedly heading towards a leadership
change. A report by Iran International now claims that Iran's civilian
government has been pushed into a complete political deadlock, while the
military establishment tightens its grip over the country's most sensitive
decisions amid war. Reports also claim that the IRGC has blocked Iran's
President Pezeshikian from meeting Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei.
The Israeli army claimed to have killed
Hezbollah’s Southern Front commander Youssef Ismail Hashem in the attack on
Beirut on 01/04.Israel plans to destroy multiple Lebanese border towns and
maintain its occupation of southern Lebanon after its ground invasion ends,
Defense Minister Israel Katz said yesterday. EU reacted negatively. Katz said

itself secure from Hezbollah and that Israel planned to use the same tactics in

extortion”.
Bahrain’s military says its air defenses have
shot down 186 missiles and 419 drones fired by Iran during the war.
United Arab Emirates is weighing the option of joining the war to help the United States
reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the Wall Street Journal reported.
An attack has targeted the Sarsang oilfield,
located in Duhok province of Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region, Iraq.
1,262 Iranians living in Dubai have returned to
Iran since the war started, the semiofficial Tasnim news agency reports. With
direct flights to Iran closed, the returnees have flown via Afghanistan and
Armenia.

President Trump says U.S. will withdraw from
Iran in two to three weeks. He also says he has had one goal in mind during
this conflict: preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Trump also
appeared to reverse previous comments about reopening the Strait of Hormuz,
saying that countries dependent on the oil passing through the Strait will have
to secure it themselves. Trump says he’s seriously considering pulling US out
of NATO. Trump is set to address the U.S. tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
Masoud Pezeshkian announced that he would address
American populace soon, by an open
letter being published as reported by his assistant on X.
NATO allies have resisted Trump’s calls to join
the war and forcefully reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Italy denied U.S. warplanes
permission to land in Sicily, while Spain on Monday blocked its airspace to
U.S. planes involved in the conflict. Trump also criticized France on social
media yesterday, claiming it blocked planes going to Israel from its airspace.
Present GULF WAR in Middle East could cost Arab
countries between $120 billion and $194 billion as loss in economic output,--
estimate by NNDP . That amounts to a regional GDP decline of between 3.7 and 6
percent. The calculations are based on data
of first month of the war.
