Sanskrit
phrase "यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः" (Yato Dharmastato Jayaḥ) from the
Mahabharata translates to "Where there is Dharma (righteousness/justice),
there is Victory". It is a well-known verse with 13 occurrences in the
epic, associated with the principle that moral conduct triumphs.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the

phased expansion of ethanol dispensing infrastructure with 500 flex-fuel retail
pumps planned by the end of 2026 and about 5,000 outlets targeted by the end of

NIA Raids in Bhangar: The National Investigation
Agency (NIA) has intensified its search operations, raiding the residence and
offices of former TMC leader Saukat Molla in connection with a fatal March bomb
blast case. Molla is
underground.

Kolkata Arrest: Extortion and molestation
charges led Kolkata Police to arrest senior TMC leader Swarup Biswas, following
a complaint filed by a local woman.

recording statements of MLAs.

FIR is lodged against Mamata Banerjee. During a protest on Rani Rashmoni Road in
Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee publicly addressed the murder case of Bangladeshi
activist Sharif Osman Bin Hadi linking INDIA.

The Allegations: Banerjee claimed she possessed
inside information regarding the cross-border murder and alleged that Home
Minister Amit Shah personally contacted her to suppress the arrests in "National
Interest".

Legal Charges: The complaint states her speech directly undermines

IRAN

US President Donald Trump said the US could retrieve Iran’s
“entombed” enriched uranium stockpiles “right now”, but he added that “there’s
no reason to”.
President Trump said he spoke to Israel’s Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu and Hezbollah about the situation in Lebanon and that
“progress” had been made.
Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem denounced ceasefire negotiations
between Lebanon and Israel as “shameless”, describing the agreement brokered by
Washington as a “roadmap to annihilate part of the Lebanese people”.
The United Nations said it was investigating an attack that
killed one UNIFIL peacekeeper and injured two in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said a soldier was killed by a
Hezbollah missile in southern Lebanon.

The death toll in the fire incident at a private hospital in
Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has risen to five.
The recent forest fire incident in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh
highlighted the critical role of aerial firefighting technologies in the
disaster management. To contain the rapidly spreading blaze, the Indian Air
Force (IAF) has deployed Mi-17 V5 helicopters equipped with Bambi Buckets and

The Software Development Institute of Indian Air Force in
Bengaluru has designed, developed and deployed a super Dimona aircraft
simulator for the National Defence Academy. The Air Force Training Team at NDA
will use it to familiarise the cadets with basic flying aspects along with
necessary knowledge of the flying environment.
NASA has officially
ended the MAVEN (Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) mission after more
than 11 years in orbit around Mars.
CLIMATE:
The Southwest monsoon officially arrived in India on June 4,
marking its onset in Kerala, days after the Indian Meteorological Department
predicted its arrival. Notably, this year’s monsoon was delayed by three days,
since it generally starts by June 1.

& PUNISHMENT:
A local court on
Wednesday (June 3, 2026) remanded Amitabh Jhunjhunwala, former Group MD of Anil
Ambani-led Reliance Communications, in the custody of the CBI till June 5 in an
alleged bank loan fraud case.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting massive
search operations across nine spots in the border town of Champhai along the
Mizoram-Myanmar frontier yesterday. The agency said the major crackdown is
targeting a highly organised cross-border network involved in the large-scale
smuggling of illegal Burmese supari (dry Areca nuts) into India.
