The Ayatollah also appears to have left Tehran, and is likely to seek refuge in Russia. And the protests across Iran also grown by the day. The era of the Mullahs is coming to an end. We are seeing the beginning of a new secular Iranian republic.   And the closing of what has been a catastrophic 47 year religious extremism experiment for Iran. But who will take over??? Did Modi murder democracy in Delhi via the Delhi Services Bill?

  1. The Delhi Services Act, 2023 has formalized the status quo ante, which existed for several decades.
  2. The Union Government always used to exercise full control over the services and all along, during the long Congress rule, Jamaat government, United Front government and the BJP government.
  3. An ambitious Arvind Kejriwal sought to upset the applecart by demanding control over the services and engaged in an unprecedented and unsavory spat with the LG and the Union Government.
  4. He took the matter to the Supreme Court, where after a very technical view of the matter and ignoring the long convention, the Supreme Court ruled that there’s no law that has given control over the services to the Union Government.
  5. The SC judgement re-exposed is our Judicial weakness, which is repeating in many matters. Opposition identified this, and dragging every case to SC, where they seek for some otherwise  illegal benefits.
  6. After this judgement, Arvind Kejriwal attempted to exercise the control and tried to get hold of the vigilance files on his residential house construction, renovation and possible corruption.
  7. To stop this and to ensure that the past practice is followed in respect of services, an ordinance was promulgated by the President of India to bring in a law.
  8. That ordinance was replaced by a bill passed by the democratically elected parliament of India.
  9. I would say that Modi Ji democratically restored the past practice which an authoritarian Kejriwal wanted to abrogate to himself taking advantage of legal and technical lacuna.
  10. The Media, Newspapers, and Opposition brayed hoarse, and orchestrated some drama to derail a DEMOCRATIC PROCESS,  failed and all along foulmouthed BJP/NDA, and P.M.
  11. I STRONGLY SUGGEST—DELHI BEING CAPITAL, SHALL BE AN UNION TERRITORY ONLY. THE PARTIAL STATEHOOD ACCORDED,  SHALL BE WITHDRAWN BY AN ACT. Otherwise, politicians like AK-49 will rule, and ruin the capital.

    Yes Delhi should be under central govt As such we should revert to its Union Territory status
    The administrative rifts are doing severe damages to public and Delhi
