RECENT ELECTIONS

CAUSES, AND IMPACT

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

Indian Voters have MATURED relatively, in last 70 years. They differentiate between Regional Interest, vis-à-vis National Requirement, and try to vote for a STRONG CENTRAL GOVERNMENT.

I will discuss recent 3 States, where BJP won, and also 3 States, where BJP lost.

A. Where BJP LOST:--

1.0 Karnataka: The overconfidence of the BJP along with associated  corruption  of the ruling Ministry, and MLAs defeated BJP. BJP shall completely OVERHAUL the STATE TEAM, including the LEADER.

Concern—Two Muslim women caught  having different name, and same ADHAR CARD NUMBER. NIA should investigate this scam and find out the king.

We also know many Bangladeshis especially Rohingyas are moving to Karnataka and availing govt ID proof to stay in India permanently.

It is a serious concern for Indian economy because illegally they are availing free ration, education etc. Congress is also changing the demography of KARNATAKA.

2.0 Himachal Pradesh: The BJP lost more votes to rebels than to the Congress. As per results, of the 7% negative vote swing the BJP suffered, over 4.5 per cent was to parties other than the Congress. The bulk of this was because of a strong rebellion within the BJP, which hurt them badly. Indeed, the Congress only gained 2.2 per cent from 2017.

BJP need to look into the LOCAL set up, and take corrective measure.

3.0 Telangana: The BJP  has improved their performance but still has to work hard. They're not popular in south, so this performance is not BAD. An Honest, favourite local alliance may be cultivated. Also—BJP shall remember that 15% is MUSLIM population.

B. Where BJP won:

1.0 Rajasthan: State Government is changing every 5 years. not A SIGN OF matured electorate, AS WELL AS STATE GOVERNMENTS. Mr. Sachin Pilot is wasting himself in CONGRESS. He should have joined BJP, and play the role of C.M. Mata Raje should have been eased out after last Parliament election. She thinks RAJASTHAN is her KINGDOM. Also trying to promote her son in politics like Ms. Sania Maino, with same result. She is a BAGGAGE, BJP shall get rid soon. She is trying to blackmail the top BJP leadership, for post of C.M.-- this shall be rejected. Mr. Meghwal, and Mr, Vaishnaw are doing good job, and should not be disturbed.

Finding a GOOD C.M for Rajasthan, without disturbing the BJP set up is difficult. It proves—BJP didn’t plan well here.

2.0 Madhya Pradesh: The reason Shivraj Chauhan won there is Modi and Ladli scheme. If either were absent the BJP won't have  won. I preferred to see  Jyotiradhitya Scindia for CM position, Mamaji is no more suitable for State politics, rather he should join the Senior party committee and help the leaders work out  election strategy.  I wish Mr. Mohan Yadav success, and hope he will justify the confidence that BJP's top leaders bestowed on him. He never lost an election, and a very educated, and qualified person. He will be supported by 2 Dy. C.M. which is a very good approach. This will groom future CM candidates.

3.0 Chhattisgarh: The corruption in the last Congress government took it down, 9 sitting cabinet ministers lost their seat. For example, in the Raigarh the MLA didn’t do any work, combination of goons and his son brought his downfall. On top of this, the BJP candidate is an ex-IAS officer. Similarly, Sarguja division gave 14/14 seats to Congress with the hope that Mr. T S Singhdeo would be the CM, which didn't happen; Bastar division wasn't happy as they felt they were ignored by the outgoing govt.

BJP  got most of the right people elected in this state, and  let us hope  the selected C.M. Mr. V. D.  Sai  with a BJP state president Arun Sao and first-time MLA Vijay Sharma as the two deputy chief ministers in cabinet while former chief minister Raman Singh as speaker,  has a good team.
