 Why is ED not arresting Arvind Kejriwal? 

Since 2005, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), one of the premier investigating agencies in India handling economic offences, has registered 5,906 cases. Of them, the agency has managed to dispose only of 25 cases, a mere 0.42% of the total cases. But the agency wants one to pay attention to only this small number while making a claim of a 96% conviction rate.-- SOURCE--Reported in Wire.

With its record of 0.5% success in securing convictions, which means 99.50% acquittal, it is visibly proven that the ED can’t seal most of the cases. Either Law has more HOLES to plug, or  ED is not a competent investigating agency.

There will not be a single individual in India who has not made an unaccounted transaction ever. Here unaccounted transaction means any transaction done on cash. Let us take a hypothetical case. Suppose you have withdrawn an amount of Rs.50000/- from your bank account in cash and spent that amount on some cash purchase and you don’t have an invoice or money receipt or you have lost the receipt. This could be a case of money laundering under PMLA. Technically you will never be able to prove that this was not a laundering case for non-availability of valid Receipts. So, ED can arrest you and keep you in custody. But ED will also never be able to prove that it was a laundering case. This is where  what the 99.50% acquittal is happening. I am not aware if the ED has some other explanation for its poor 0.5% success rate.

PC is out, so was Jayalalitha, and Sharada, Narada, Rose valley is about to be forgotten.

1.0 Delhi Liquor Scam. 2.0 DJB SCAM.3.0 Mohalla Clinic Scam. 4.0 Advertisement SCAM. 5.0Sheesh Mahal SCAM....... there are other small cases as well. Total amount could be several thousand crores of Rupees. And surely C.M. of Delhi is an accomplice, whether his signature is there, or not.

So, if the ED wants to arrest Kejriwal, it could do so in a matter of minutes. Kejriwal had no protection against arrest, but can get bail. Now it is difficult to arrest him, as the case is under JURISDICTION. As such the question is - Why is ED didn't arrest  Arvind Kejriwal? The only possible reason could be that the ED has not been asked to arrest Kejriwal. So, it is playing the notice-notice game. This means the ED is keeping the water hot, any moment it is being asked to make the tea, it will make tea. It can serve iced tea or cold coffee also. That is straightway arrest without playing the notice-notice game. However, people prefer hot tea & hot coffee. So, the water is being heated. The ED has not been able to file the charge sheet against the earlier arrest made over on year ago. I don’t think the ED has any substantial material evidence against the arrested accused to establish the charge in a court of law. Either people are too smart, or ED is way incompetent.

It is not about whether Kejriwal is guilty or not. It is about whether the ED has been able to gather any evidence against Kejriwal or not. And after more than a year of investigation and so many arrests if the ED doesn’t have any solid ground to arrest Kejriwal, then it is never going to have anything ever. It is clearly evident that the ED doesn’t have anything in its hand so it is playing the notice-notice game that serves the political agenda well.

And Mr. Kejriwal is shrewd enough to avoid the traps, before—or after, being trained in Revenue department.

Kejriwal’s arrest will have greater political implications. So, I believe the BJP government is not yet prepared for his arrest. Kejriwal is guilty or not is not the criteria. I believe that there is a very high possibility of not touching Kejriwal before the general election. He will be touched only and only if there comes a desperate need to create some high-voltage sensation. The equation matters. Another high-profile accused Ajit Pawar, allegedly involved in a very big-ticket scam has been made DY CM. ED & CBI have not arrested Ajit Pawar. I , however, don’t compare the cases .

The number of SCAMS involving AAP government are many—almost everybody is involved. Yet, there is no judicial conviction of any body.

Doesn’t speak well about the complete system.
