NEW CHAPTER IN DRAVIDIAN POLITICS?

Annamalai – THE BEGINNING:

Full Name: Kupuswamy Annamai. Meaning of Annamalai is a Knowledgeable person. It is one of many names of Lord Shiva.

1.      Date of Birth: Jun 06, 1984

2.      Qualification : Bachelor of Engineering in 2007 from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.  Obtained MBA degree at IIM Lucknow in 2010.

3.      A 2011 batch IPS officer; served as a Civil Servant in various locations for eight years. He was fondly called Singham Annamalai in Karnataka.

4.      In 2019, Annamalai resigned from Indian Police Service when he was Deputy Commissioner of Police in South Bengaluru.

5.      In 2020, he joined BJP.

PRESENT ACTIVITIES :

He's the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party.

1.      He delivers meaningful speeches in public forums, as an Opposition leader.

2.      He started speaking the truth, and corruptions about DMK and its principles at length. He’s been releasing DMK's corruption files, in a phased manner. he's explaining the general public about DMK and its corrupted politics, in detail

3.      he's bringing out the facts of the corrupted ministers in DMK (e.g. Senthil Balaji)

4.      He’s been doing Pada Yatra in the State, covering all the 234 constituencies with the name My Land My People (‘என் மண் என் மக்கள்’).

5.      So far, Annamalai’s pada yatra has generated a lot of interest and curiosity among the old, as well as young  generation of Tamil Nadu, for different reasons. Old generation is used to seeing only Dravidian parties dominating the political landscape of Tamil Nadu during their life time. Young people have welcomed Annamalai’s initiative and expressed their support for his agenda of development and nationalism. People in the State are now keenly watching what  Annamalai says, in his pada yatra.

6.      Annamalai is now the one of the major leaders in TN politics as he's  getting people's ear and, may be support.

OUTCOME:

1.      Only because of the leaders like Annamalai, people in the State came to know the real politics of Dravidian parties which ruled the State for more than five decades; and also, about their corrupt politics, in the past, and present.

2.      And that's why everyone likes the speech of this young leader Annamalai wherever he goes in the State, during his yatra.

3.      Last but not least, even with the media people, the leader Annamalai maintains friendly relationship whenever he meets them, right from the beginning. And that's why national party BJP is growing steadily in the State towards laying a strong foundation in the State.

EFFECT ON 2024 ELECTION:

1.      BJP is very strong in Coimbatore and Kanyakumari . In both Kanyakumari and Coimbatore BJP is assured a minimum of 30%  votes. Annamalai s Yatra would have only increased it.

2.      To avoid the vulgar slandering in future DMDK& PMK may try to choose BJP as alliance. Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) is not a major party in TN but commands a good vote share.

3.      At this stage, the BJP's only ally in Tamil Nadu is K. Krishnaswamy’s 'Puthiya Tamilagam.'. Ottakarathevar Panneerselvam’s 'All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (OPS)' may join the NDA as we get closer to elections. With Annamalai emerging as a face of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, the saffron party can anticipate an increase in vote share, but that is not guaranteed to translate into seats in TN.

4.      Mr. JP Nadda, should endeavour to bring as many small parties in TN as possible into the NDA fold.

WHAT EMERGE:

BJP’s potential tally in TN will fall between 2 and 5..If  NDA secures 10 seats from TN, it would be a significant morale booster and better position for  NDA to compete the next assembly election in the sate.
