OPERATION SINDOOR ECONOMIC LOSSES OF PAKISTAN SARASIJ MAJUMDER It will be difficult for Pakistan to come out of the loss it suffered in this 4-day KINETIC WAR, fought only in the airspace, involving Fighter Jets, Missiles, and DRONES as attacking weapons. Pakistan claims that J-10C jets, equipped with PL-15 missiles, were used in combat, and that they downed multiple Indian Rafale and other fighter jets. GOI has not accepted any loss of Fighter Jet. No image of Rafael lost is available. GOI is not declaring the HITS it inflicted upon Pakistan. Even then, I have pieced together the information and provided a picture. A. The expenses due to direct losses of HARDWARE may be divided into the following items: - 1.0 Fighter Jets: -- May be 10 Numbers. 4-F16 as a combat loss. 2 Nos. Mirage 2000 and 4 Nos. F16, possibly due to the hit it received when parked on the Air Bases. However, this figure could be more.   Pakistan's retired Air Marshal Masood Akhtar public...

FLIGHT-810: 22 January1993

A HIJACK NOT WELLKNOWN

FLIGHT-810: 22 January1993

ATALJI’S EXEMPLARYCOURAGE

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

1.      1993 January 22: Indian Airlines Flight No. 810 en route from Lucknow Airport to the Delhi-Indira Gandhi International Airport got hijacked.

2.      After some initial negotiations, the Hijacker agreed for landing the plane temporarily at Lucknow airport.

3.      IC-810 landed at Lucknow Airport, with Hijacker in, and in control.

4.      He was carrying a country made ‘CRUDE GRANADE’, which can explode any time whether he wanted, or not. To tell you the truth, , many times I fabricated those staff, during my college days, and know how unsafe it is.

5.      The Hijacker was a self-styled  ‘Hindu Activist’. He demanded release of all ‘Kar Sevaks’ arrested after demolition of ‘Babri’ Mosque.

6.      He said that he knows Atalji is in Lucknow—he wanted to talk to him—PRONTO. Otherwise the Grenade will go ‘KAPOOT’!

7.      Atalji, and Lalji Tandon was having dinner in a Guest house, and was to take a Train to Delhi later. He was then sitting MP from Lucknow.

8.      DM and the adviser to the governor barged in,  briefed Atalji about the situation, confirming that the Aircraft has about 120-odd passengers, may be, all of whose lives were at risqué..

9.      Tandonji advised caution—but Atalji left dinner, and  set forth for the Control tower immediately—and tried to talk to the HIJACKER from there.

10.  The Hijacker told that he can’t recognize his voice—and demanded Atalji to come to the Plane.

11.  Finally Atalji had to go inside the aircraft and meet him. While he engaged the Hijacker in discussion—plain cloth police could overpower, and arrest him.

12.  The hijacker later identified as Satish Chandra Pandey, and convicted for four year imprisonment.

13.  Later it was found out that the Grenade was also‘FAKE’!

14.  Then Atalji went around, meeting every passenger. One of them was Congress's Sitaram Kesari, who told Atalji that when the hijacker demanded to see Atalji, he knew everyone would be saved. That was the kind of faith people had in him. By then, he had missed his train for Delhi. He had to reach Parliament the next day. The flight, too, had been cancelled. IA accommodated everyone for the night.. Next morning, they all flew together, to Delhi,  including Atalji.

Conclusion:--

I wonder—the man who showed such courage—how the ‘IC-814’ hijack got mishandled? Who all messed it up?

And how NETFLIX can get the clearance to air  a falsified account of that piece of ‘HISTORY’ ??
