VIKASH YADAV – EX RAW OFFICER
A PATRIOT IN A DANGEROUS GAME
SARASIJ MAJUMDER
THE ALLEGATION:--
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released a
wanted poster of Vikash (Vikas) Yadav, “a former Indian government employee”,
in connection with his alleged role in directing a foiled plot to assassinate
pro-Khalistani leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun on the US soil. Pannun is a
Khalistani Terrorist, wanted in India, and
an US citizen.
When many a BRILLIANT ENGINEERS from India find it difficult
to get an US citizenship—how a CRIMINAL got it—is altogether a different
matter.
“Today’s charges demonstrate that the Justice Department
will not tolerate attempts to target and endanger Americans and to undermine
the rights to which every US citizen is entitled,” ---US attorney general
Merrick B Garland howled!
MY VIEW:-
Vikash
Yadav is a patriot, who did or doing a very
risky job for his country. For Our Country! He can’t be sacrificed by GOI.
That should be the opinion, I think, of
every Nationalist, and Patriot. OPPOSITION may think otherwise—so are
Secularists, Marxists, Indian Muslims and Gandhians! Don’t forget—Indian resources were betrayed by
one Ex. Gandhian, and Ex. Secularist—both were Ex. P.M. of Indias. And also remember—USA did this, ISRAEL CONTINUE TO DO
THIS. The difference—NOBODY COULD CATCH
THEIR AGENTS. If I do—it is CRIME, but
if they do—it is delivering JUSTICE! How Silly, and Stupid!
THE LESSONS:-
The United States' (US) indictment of Vikash Yadav, a former
Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) employee, for allegedly being a prime
mover in the assassination plot against Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh
Pannun should teach US two things:
One, if indeed we were (or still are) planning to target a
terrorist, or a criminal on the soil of
a country having high-technology and intelligence capabilities, we must be much
more careful. We must not get caught.
Because—the price of getting caught is very very heavy!
Two, regardless of whether the allegations against Yadav are
true or not, we must fully stand by him. We cannot throw him to the wolves just
to protect the MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP. If we ever do so, no future R&AW or
intelligence agent of INDIA will be willing to stick his neck out for the
country.
That will be a ‘bigger loss’!!
So when TV anchors make the point that Canada has given us
no evidence, they are using a dangerous argument. We must stand by our man, evidence or no evidence.
A third point automatically follows. Even assuming the US is
able to prove its case against Yadav, and even assuming Canada’s Justin Trudeau
manages to do the same with some Indian agent (criminals residing in Canada do
not count), we should not back down. It is our duty to neutralise our country’s
enemies, whomsoever may be their patrons abroad —USA, Pakistan or Canada …
INDIA’S RESPONSE:-
On Thursday, the ministry of external affairs confirmed that
the individual named in the US Justice Department's indictment case in
the foiled assassination plot of Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was
“no longer an employee of the government of India”.
Mr. Yadav, as has been reported—is untraceable! That is how
it should be. Always!
FEW IDEAS:--
I also don’t understand how Mr. NIKHIL GUPTA couldn’t
evaporate during two months he was staying
in Czechoslovakia, after his cover was blown out—before he was brought
to USA.
USA is behind Trudeau’s
belligerence against India, where Trudeau’s agencies actually named our high
commissioner as a “person of interest” in the Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s
assassination last year.
We may not be able to poke the USA in the eye on this, for
there is a huge asymmetry of power between India and the USA, but Canada is
rapidly becoming a rogue nation under Trudeau, where all kinds of criminals
find political refuge.
Maybe, just maybe, if we can find someone in the Canadian
intelligence agencies who turns out to be handlers of Nijjar or Pannun, we
should name them as “persons of interest”. Jagmeet Singh, head of the New
Democratic Party, who is a Khalistan backer and an anti-India, anti-Hindu
activist, may be temporarily left out.
If anyone talks about how India must adhere to the rule of
law, we must make a simple counter-point: we are willing to abide by any rule
of law to which everyone, from the US down to Canada and Israel, is
a party to. The USA does not have sole right on interpretation to the term- “rule of law.”
While India must not push the US relationship to the brink,
we must privately draw clear lines on the sand even with Uncle Sam. We must
tell them that we also have “options” that they may not like and which we can
exercise if pushed to the wall. USA shall not bother as long as it doesn’t harm
them.
India must also stand by Sheikh Hasina, (not for her
‘MERRIT’) --now under Indian government’s protection, but that is another story,
will be discussed later.
We shall remind USA that, as the late US president Franklin D Roosevelt
said of Nicaraguan dictator Anastasio Somoza, “He may be an SOB, but he’s our SOB.”
GOI also should never forget above. We also don’t want any more ‘EK THA TIGER’. IG forgot to get released our Prisoners in PAKISTAN, before releasing 94,000 Paki War Prisoners! They never returned!
