  BUDGET 2025 AT A GLANCE SOME KEY PROVISIONS SARASIJ MAJUMDER   1.       10,000 additional seats to be inculcated in Medical Institutes in one year; 75,000 additional   medical seats will be created in next 5 years. 2.       100 GW target for Nuclear Power Generation by 2047. 3.       40,000 new houses will be added under Swayam Housing scheme. 4.       50 New Tourists’ destination will be developed by next year . 5.       A Maritime Development Fund with a corpus of ₹ 25,000 crore to be set up, with up to 49 per cent contribution by the Government, and the balance from ports and private sector. 6.       Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) : 50,000 such labs are to be set up in government schools in 5 years. Lahore: Thick, black and toxic smog engulfed the skies of Pakistan as unprecedented pollution levels continued to make the lives of citizens difficult. The smog is now visible from space, satellite imagery from NASA's worldview showed.

At many places in Lahore, and Multan, AQI  crossed over 2,000, twice during this week.

Schools are declared closed from  last JUMMA DAY, to SUN DAY.

Senior minister in the Punjab government Maryam Aurangzeb spoke to the media on this problem in Lahore on Friday (15 November 2024). Punjab government has imposed a health emergency in heavily smog-affected cities like Lahore, and Multan.

“Fake fitness certificates, outdated laws, staff shortage impede Punjab’s fight against smog”--- (DAWN)

Look at the IMAGE above.

Is there any sense to plan “CHAMPIONS’TROPHY” to be played there in this ‘SMOG  FULL GAS CHAMBER’ ??? It will not improve in next NOVEMBER—rather it will deteriorate further, most likely.

Health Hazards, Security problems--- Pakistan is a big ‘NO-NO’ for any International  playing event.

Players will suffer from health related problems.

BCCI shall put down its own foot!

ICC shall not play in the hand of ‘PAKISTAN’. ICC shall send an International medical team , and check for the health hazard, before taking a call to shift the venue, whatever 'PAKISTAN' may say.

PLAYERS  also shall think about their individual health.
