Washington DC:

The American Dream has come crashing down for millions and millions of people who line up to get a chance to settle in the United States. Donald Trump has, with one signature, shut the door for them permanently - a door which Joe Biden's administration is accused of exploiting in order to allow illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to get legal entry to the United States.

When the CBP One app was launched in October 2020, its use was only to help commercial trucking companies’ schedule cargo inspections at border crossings. But in January 2023, the Biden administration expanded its utility to include unauthorised and illegal migrants seeking asylum or protection in the US from violence, poverty, or persecution in their home countries.

According to the documents prepared by the US administration, there are about 20 thousand Indians in America who do not have sufficient valid documents to stay in America. According to the data of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as of November 2024, there were 20407 people whom America describes as 'without documents' or 'incomplete documents'.

My views:

1.0  We must be 100% sure that they are having valid Indian Passports, before taking them back. On the number of deportations of illegal Indians from America, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said, 'We have seen some numbers, but I want to caution you about their number (20,000 or 18,000), because we have to verify that they are Indians.'

2.0  USA also shall explain, why they haven’t deported Indians with incomplete, defective, or expired visas immediately. Why there was/ is delay?

3.0  The problem is partly created by USA’s ICE, and partly by the identified Indians(?).

4.0  I have doubt that many of them may be holding ‘FAKE’ Indian Passports.

5.0  If any ‘Visa’ processing Indian Company, or TOUT is involved in any of these cases, legal actions shall be taken against them.

6.0  All such peoples shall be isolated, and kept in a ‘CAMP’ in USA, till Indian Authority identify the original Indian Passport holders. Then, if they are not eligible for stay in USA, they can return to INDIA. But their Passport shall be cancelled, and they should sign a ‘BOND’ to pay the expenses, or serve in ARMY —those who are capable—against receiving  ration only for 5 years.

7.0  Their family/relative who are living in India, can pay for their return fare—in that case no bond is necessary, but their PASSPORT will be cancelled for their lifetime.

8.0  Mr. Modi shall not use tax payer’s money to subsidize illegal excursions by unscrupulous Indians, which seems is the case.

9.0  Cases of Sikhs, and Mohamedan stranded in USA, and claim to be Indians  shall be investigated  thoroughly, and their complete trail shall be established, before any decision is taken.

10.0           And in all such cases, their Passports shall be ceased,  cancelled for their life time- and a return permit only shall be issued if they are found Bonafide Indian residents.

11.0          In case of Minors accompanying parents—no penalty shall apply.
