OPERATION SINDOOR

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

Background:-

A JIHADI attack sponsored by PAKISTAN at BAISARAN valley of Pahelgaon on 22nd April resulted in killing of 26 Tourists, based on their religion (HINDU). Additional  22 persons were injured. People were asked about their religions, before shooting.

This precipitated the reaction by INDIAN GOVERNMENT code named “OPERATION SINDOOR”—on 7th early morning this month.

Operation Sindoor was carried out in accordance with a recent UN Security Council statement, which emphasised the need to bring those responsible for the brutal Pahalgam massacre, and their supporters, to justice, the Indian government said in a message to the international community. The operation aimed to deter further attacks planned by Pakistan-based terrorist groups.

21 militant producing, and training  factories in POK, & Pakistan, at 09  locations   destroyed in 25 minutes by INDIA—without crossing PAKISTAN BORDER by Air, Land, or Water by Indian Armed Forces. Only ‘PROJECTILES’ were used, fired from Indian territory.

Under Operation Sindoor, India conducted missile strikes on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with Indian forces specifically aiming to target top Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba leaders and carders  for their role in orchestrating terror attacks in India. According to various reports, approximately 80 terrorists were killed in the operation.

Below are the locations, about which  some information is  furnished. You may notice—majority of them are either adjacent to Mosques, or Hospitals.

Very soon—you can see some other BLOGGER  writing  BLOGS on this, or a journalist writing a book, and published.

I scavenged this BLOG from some stored information, published in the Newspapers in the past, and rest from available information, scattered in PUBLIC DOMAIN.

1. Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur

This Markaz, which has been operating since 2015, is the main training and ideology propagation center of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and serves as the functional headquarters of JeM. JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar, JeM's acting chief Mufti Abdur Rauf Asghar, Maulana Ammar and other members of Masood Azhar's family live in this Markaz. Masood Azhar has made several anti-India speeches from here and has urged the youth to join Islamic Jihad. JeM used to conduct regular weapons, physical and religious training at this Markaz.

As per his own confession—10 of his family members, and two key persons lost their lives. But he has no regrets !!!

It is located at NH-5, which goes from Karachi to Torkham.

Interestingly, the complex was built with the help of both the provisional and federal governments of Pakistan along with the funds raised by the terror groups in African and Gulf nations.

David Headley and Tahawor Hussain Rana also came here. It can house 1,000 terrorists.

The LeT is designated as a Terrorist Organisation by many countries, including the UK (2001), the USA (2001), India (2002), and Australia (2003). After the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, the terror group was placed on the Consolidated List established by UNSC Resolution

Pakistan’s ISI and JeM have developed a network of underground tunnels in the Shakargarh area, which is used for infiltration of JeM cadres into India.
