Highlights from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 127th Mann Ki Baat episode address on 26 October 2025:

(a)        PM Modi spoke about the Mahaparva of Chath, calling it a reflection of India's deep cultural, natural, and social unity.

(b)       There was a special mention of the GST Bachat Utsav (festival of savings), with a notable increase in the purchase of indigenous products during the festival season.

(c)        PM Modi recalled his earlier appeal to reduce edible oil consumption by 10%, stating it has received a positive response.

(d)       PM Modi noted that Operation Sindoor has filled every Indian with pride. He said that this time, lamps of joy were lit even in those areas which were once affected by Maoist terror.

(e)        Praised the paramilitary forces (BSF and CRPF) for inducting Indian dog breeds and highlighted indigenous dogs' achievements, such as detection of explosives in Maoist-affected areas.

(f)        Mr Modi spoke about Kapil Sharma of Bengaluru who has started a campaign to give a new life to lakes in the city Mr Sharma’s team has rejuvenated 40 wells and six lakes in Bengaluru and surrounding areas.

(g)        The Prime Minister called for celebrations marking the 150th year of the national song 'Vande Mataram,' underlining its significance and the values it represents

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the deep depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal intensified into a cyclonic storm.
