NCC shall be made compulsory at school level (Class 9+), and undergraduate level, with summer, and winter Camps. One should have total 3+ years NCC association as one of the  selection criteria in GOI Skilled level job,  5+ years for Officer level job.

U.S. war game on Venezuela. The Punjabi music community is reeling from the sudden death of acclaimed singer Harman Sidhu, who passed away at the age of 37 following a severe road accident in the Mansa district of Punjab. His unexpected demise has left fans and fellow artists grieving the loss of a voice known for its depth, emotion, and connection with younger listeners.

The death toll from heavy rains and flooding in Vietnam’s central region has risen to 55. The Vietnam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority reported today that 13 people are still missing.

COP30 fire. A fire in the venue where UN climate talks were taking place yesterday prompted an evacuation just as delegates were nearing their final stage of negotiations. Thirteen people were treated for smoke inhalation after the incident, which authorities are investigating. The talks are due to conclude today; in past years they have often run into overtime.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has revised the Graded Action Plan (GRAP) for the Delhi-NCR region for making it more stringent to prevent further deterioration of Air Quality.

WEATHER:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD),  forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall for Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andamans and parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh may face disruptions over the next few days.

In Badminton, star Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen has advanced into the Men’s Singles finals of the Australian Open. The 2022 Commonwealth Games champion defeated second seed Chou Tein-Chen of Chinese Taipei 17-21, 24-22, 21-16 in a nail-biting semi-final in Sydney.

India stormed into the finals of the 1st Women’s T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind with a dominant nine-wicket win over Australia in the semi-final match at the iconic P. Sara Oval stadium in Colombo. India will face Nepal in the final.
