Passing Out Parade (POP) of 02/25 batch was held at INS Chilika on 08 Jan 2026,

Union
Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the National Improvised Explosive Device
Data Management System (NIDMS). This is India’s first platform that records
details of all bomb blasts in the country from 1999 to today. The system will
help police and security agencies investigate terrorist incidents more
effectively.
The
NIDMS is an online database managed by the National Security Guard (NSG) in
Manesar, Haryana. It allows police, Central Armed Police Forces, and other
investigative agencies to access data on any explosion or IED incident in
India.
MISHAPS: -
In
Odisha, a small 9-seater aircraft crash-landed near Rourkela in Sundargarh
district yesterday afternoon. Though there has been no casualty, all six people
on board including four passengers and two crew members have sustained injuries
in the crash. The aircraft operated by India One Air was on a scheduled flight
from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela.
In
Australia, the southeastern state of Victoria declared a state of disaster as
massive bushfires continued to rage across multiple regions, forcing
large-scale evacuations and stretching emergency services to their limits.
