Ladakh

Indian Army
chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who was in the US recently as part of the

America, was inducted into the International Hall of Fame of the US Army War
College in Pennsylvania.

Dwivedi, a distinguished fellow of the US Army War College, is the third Indian
Army chief to receive such an honour after General V. K. Singh and General

Indian Army
has raised its 16th ‘Bhairav’ Battalion at the Maratha Light Infantry
Regimental Centre in Belagavi, Karnataka. The new unit strengthens India’s
infantry capabilities and reflects the Army’s focus on agile, rapid-response
combat formations suited for modern warfare and sensitive border operations.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has
confirmed Araghchi’s departure from Pakistan for Russia, where he is scheduled
to meet with President Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg.
After cancelling his envoys’
scheduled visit to the Pakistani capital, Trump has again said that the
Iranians can “come to us, or they can call us” if they want to resume talks. “Has Mr. Trump ( USA ) intended to talk directly?

The Israeli military continues its
deadly strikes on southern Lebanon despite a three-week “ceasefire”, killing at

Nigeria's
giant Dangote refinery is benefiting from record margins on jet fuel, which it

Israel sent
components of its Iron Dome missile defense system, including troops to operate

India is preparing to establish seven
space laboratories across universities and colleges, marking a significant step
in nurturing the next generation of rocket scientists, satellite engineers, and
mission designers.
General Electric Aerospace and
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited have reached a landmark technical agreement to
co-produce F414 jet engines in India, with nearly 80 per cent of the
manufacturing technology and intellectual property rights transferring to HAL.
CLIMATE:
The India Meteorological Department
(IMD) has forecast heat wave conditions at isolated places in the national
capital today. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi is
expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius.
Severe heatwave conditions are likely
to continue across several northern and central states, while heavy to very
heavy rainfall is forecast over the Northeast and parts of eastern India,
according to the latest All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued
by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
CRIME & PUNISHMENT:
Défense Minister Sadio Camara died in
a wave of coordinated attacks across the country by separatists and extremist
groups, state television announced. A separatist movement in the country’s
north teamed up with al-Qaeda–linked militants to stage the attacks, members of
those groups said Saturday. Russia, an ally of Mali’s junta, condemned the
attacks.

In Badminton, the Indian men’s team has

Sabastian Sawe made history at the
London Marathon by becoming the first athlete to run a sub-two-hour marathon in
a competitive race. The 31-year-old Kenyan crossed the line to win in one hour
59 minutes 30 seconds, more than one minute faster than the late Kelvin
Kiptum’s previous record of two hours and 35 seconds, set in 2023.
