MISHAPS:
In Maharashtra, six devotees were killed and around 15 injured after a wall collapsed during a
religious gathering in Jat tehsil of district this afternoon. More than 300
devotees had gathered at the site when strong winds accompanied by heavy rain
lashed the area.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast
heatwave conditions at isolated places over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra,

An orange alert for rain in Uttarkashi, Chamoli,
Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand for the next
36 hours, while a yellow alert has been issued for the remaining districts.
CRIME
& PUNISHMENT:
UKRANE’s national
anti-corruption agency announced yesterday it had charged former presidential
chief of staff Andriy Yermak with involvement in a more than $10 million money
laundering scheme. Yermak resigned from his position in November after
anti-corruption officials searched his home. He told journalists in Kyiv
yesterday he would comment when the investigation is complete.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday, May
12, took into its custody a 30-year-old student from Nashik in Maharashtra in
connection with the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak.
A crime branch unit 2 of the Nashik Police detained Shubham
Khairnar, a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Nandgaon. He
allegedly paid Rs 10 lakh for the leaked paper and then sold it online for Rs
15 lakh to another buyer from Haryana.
