landmark verdict in the decades-old Bhojshala Kamal Maula Mosque dispute. The
court recognized the disputed complex as a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess
Vagdevi-i.e. Saraswati.

CIA chief in Cuba... CIA Director John Ratcliffe made a rare

India and Kenya increased prices at the pump due to the
global energy crunch since yesterday. India’s more than 3 percent increase at

India released its first satellite-tagged Ganges soft-shell
turtle in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam on 15 May 2026.
The release took place on Endangered Species Day, which is observed on 15 May
each year. The species is Nilssonia gangetica, a freshwater turtle found in
river systems of the Indian subcontinent.

India achieved the major milestone in defence innovation as
AI powered combat aircraft ‘Kaal Bhairava’ will now be manufactured in
Portugal, Europe. It will be developed by Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace
and it marks the India’s first overseas production of an autonomous combat
aircraft. This manufacturing hub in the Portugal is part of the broader initiative
called Operation 777.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast
heatwave conditions over Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh
and Vidarbha today.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested P.V.
Kulkarni, the kingpin in connection with alleged irregularities in paper leak
related to NEET-UG 2026 examination. P.V. Kulkarni is a Chemistry Lecturer
involved in the process of examination on behalf of National Testing Agency. He
had access to the question papers. The agency has conducted searches at several
locations in the last 24 hours, across the country and seized several
incriminating documents,

& SPORTS: -
At the Asian Under-17 Boxing Championships, Indian young
boxers concluded their historic campaign yesterday by winning two gold medals
and seven silver medals in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. India also bagged eight bronze
medals in the Under-17 category. With this, the total number of medals won by
the boys’ and girls’ teams of the country combined reached 17 in this category.
Earlier, in the Asian Under-15 Boxing Championships, India
won a total of 27 medals, including nine gold, six silver, and twelve bronze
medals.
Harjinder Kaur won a bronze medal at the Asian Weightlifting
Championships in Gandhinagar yesterday. She secured the bronze in the women’s
69 kg category snatch event by lifting 96 kg. Harjinder also lifted 121 kg in
the clean and jerk event and finished fourth overall with a total lift of 217
kg.
Sahdev Yadav has been
elected as the President of the South Asian Weightlifting Federation (SAWF).
His election to the chair marks the strengthening India’s leadership in South
Asia sports governance and is expected to boost cooperation.
