Bangladesh: 505 cases of violence against minorities recorded so far this year.

Arjamand Gulzar alias Burhan Hamza, who got killed by unidentified gunmen, was wanted in India for spearheading an elaborate terror network in Jammu and Kashmir. Hamza Burhan was mastermind of Pulwama attack.

Work on six major road infrastructure projects, including three corridors connecting Urban Extension Road II (UER II) with the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and Delhi-Katra Expressway, aimed at easing chronic traffic congestion across the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), will begin between October this year and April next year, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announced.

India has started work on two infrastructure projects linked to the Chenab river system with an estimated cost of nearly ₹2,600 crore. The projects include the ₹2,352 crore Chenab-Beas Link Tunnel in Himachal Pradesh and the ₹268 crore sediment-bypass tunnel at the Salal Dam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Calcutta High Court has set up a Special Investigation Team to probe the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder case. The three-member SIT will be led by the Central Bureau of Investigation’s Joint Director for the Eastern Zone. The Court has asked the team to file its report by June 25.

FIR, and case are not dismissed. Investigation shall continue. Justice Sougata Bhattacharyya scolded the defendant in strongest words, and ordered that Mr. Abhishek Banerjee need approval of court before leaving country. In my opinion, he should be kept under ‘HOUSE ARREST’. From 4th May, he is staying with DISMISSED CM, as being informed to avoid arrest.

IRAN WAR: 21 MAY

U.S. President Donald Trump and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a tense phone call over the future course of the war on Iran as Washington appeared to be in favour of a deal instead of the resumption of strikes, U.S. media reported.

Maria Zakharova said Russia is determined to provide assistance to Iran and the US in implementing any decisions that may be reached through negotiations, adding that Iran alone must decide the fate of its uranium stockpiles.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran was reviewing Washington’s latest response to a proposed ceasefire framework after several rounds of message exchanges mediated by Pakistan.

"Not Going To Let Them Have It": Trump Vows To Seize Uranium From Iran.  Iran is believed to possess about 900 pounds of highly enriched uranium, which Trump says got buried by US and Israeli airstrikes.

Iran’s new Persian Gulf Strait Authority has announced the establishment of a “supervision area” in the Strait of Hormuz that requires a permit for transit, stating that “passage without permission will be considered illegal”.

Canada has summoned the Israeli ambassador over the abduction and detention of activists taking part in the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla this week. Eleven Canadian nationals were part of the aid flotilla, according to its organisers.

The Adalah legal rights group said it has received confirmation from the Israeli Prison Service and state authorities that all detained members of the Global Sumud Flotilla and Freedom Flotilla Coalition were being transferred for deportation.

Hezbollah said it launched a “wide-scale fire raid” overnight on Israeli military positions across southern Lebanon. It said it targeted Israeli soldiers near Deir Siryan with artillery shells and rockets this morning.

Hezbollah also said it later targeted Israeli soldiers and vehicles in Qouzah with artillery.

World Central Kitchen says it will scale back its Gaza food operations over the coming months due to financial pressures, warning that “the long-term responsibility of feeding Gaza cannot rest on the shoulders of one organization alone.” This is funded by Islamic Zakat funds. USA is sending 5,000 troupes to POLAND.

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and South Korean Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kwon Oh-eul inaugurated the Indian War Memorial at Imjingak Park near Seoul on 21 May 2026. The memorial marks the 75th anniversary of the Korean War and commemorates the service of the 60 Para Field Ambulance and the Custodian Force of India.

A joint operation by the Assam Rifles and the Customs Department at the Agartala Railway Station in West Tripura District led to the seizure of approximately 180 grams of morphine worth 18 lakh rupees.

Following the latest price revision issued on 18 May, the cost of a standard 14.2-kg household LPG cylinder remains steady, with the domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) costing ₹913 in Delhi.  A  19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has now breached the ₹3,000 mark in the National Capital.

National Commodities and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) announced RAINMUMBAI on 20 May 2026 as India’s first SEBI-approved exchange-traded weather derivatives contract. The contract is a cash-settled futures instrument linked to rainfall data for Mumbai during the monsoon months of June to September.
