IMPLOSION IN TMC

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

Today is 10th June. Just a month ago, BJP formed government in West Bengal.

And as of now—we see TMC got split into four(4) fragments, as follows:

TMC®-- This is the rebel group of MLAs, with Mr. Ritabrata Banerjee. The strength is probably 64, including last joined Mr. F. Haqim. 60 (more than 2/3 of total 80MLAs elected) of them signed a resolution accepting Ritabrata Babu as their leader, which was submitted to Speaker of State Government, accepted as Opposition Party, separate room was allotted in Bidhan Sabha, they occupied the opposition bench - and Ritabrata babu started performing as LoP.

This group got constitutional validity.

Ritabrata Babu shall immediately apply to EC, ( if not done) claiming their group is actual TMC, claim party symbol, take control of Treasury, and legally constructed offices of TMC in West Bengal.

He should inform all rented houses of TMC that  group lead by him has no financial responsibility and liability  for those houses.

Mamata Debi already filed a case in High Court against this group, possibly to keep control of Treasury. The case will surely go upto SC.

TMC(K)- This rebel group consists of 20 MPs—had meeting with CM, and a Senior BJP member at Delhi, and submitted a signed resolution, electing Kakoli Debi as their leader to Mr. Om Birla—Speaker of the Parliament.

They requested to have a separate arrangement for sitting in parliament, as they are not part of INDI opposition—and will support NDA.

Later, it is learned, Sayoni Ghosh, and Mala Roy—both will join this group. This takes their strength to 22 out of 28 elected members.

They have not yet resigned from TMC, nor BJP has accepted them. Their constitutional position is not clear as a ‘POLITICAL PARTY’.

TMC(RA)—This is TMC’s Rajya Sabha members—a group of mostly non-political, opportunistic professionals. Originally 13 numbers, but two(2) have resigned. The last one, ex. Congress, already contacted CM of Assam, even before ink of her resignation letter has dried!

Most of their destined Latitude-Longitude is totally uncertain. Two(2) of them seem to be Mamata Loyalist. Rest of them can either resign, or stay with TMC ®. I think that will be ultimately recognized TMC by EC.

Most of the members of this group, independently don’t have any competence to win any election from anywhere in India, representing any political party—my assessment.

TMC(Mamata Loyalist)—Whoever are left, belong to this august group.   6 /7 MLAs, 5/6 MPs, and may be 2/3 Rajya Sabha Members will stay with her.

Their best destination is to Merge with Congress, whenever possible. Already a ‘JANAB’ started discussion! Mamata Debi can take control of West Bengal Congress. Only veteran Adhir Babu will have a problem!
