Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Odisha and West Bengal from today. In Odisha, he will join President Droupadi Murmu at Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district, on the occasion of the President’s 68th birthday. The President and Prime Minister will visit Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district and offer prayers at sacred groves Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera, Skill Centre and Pahadpur School.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed incentives worth two thousand four hundred crore rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at a function in New Delhi. This disbursal marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the PM-VBRY, which is the government’s flagship employment-linked incentive scheme aimed at accelerating job creation, enhancing employability and expanding social security coverage across sectors.

Kerala Chief Minister who also holds Finance portfolio, presented revised Budget 2026-27 in Assembly.

The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly unanimously approved a resolution formally opposing the Karnataka government’s proposed Mekedatu dam project.

A  review meeting on urban development and power sector schemes was held in Ranchi  under the chairmanship of Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal. The meeting discussed issues related to the Swachh Bharat Mission, public toilets, drainage and sewerage systems, waste management, and the installation of smart and prepaid electricity meters in urban areas.

In the Kashmir Valley, foolproof security and elaborate arrangements have been put in place ahead of the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra. The 57-day pilgrimage will begin on 3rd July and conclude on 28th August.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu directed a 20% reservation for ex-Agniveers in Group ‘C’ posts in Delhi government departments and agencies on 18 June 2026. The order covers direct recruitment in operational services, including police constables, firemen, jail warders, and forest and wildlife guards.

A sharp diplomatic row has erupted between Rome and Washington. British Prime Minister Keir Stramer has vowed to resist calls to step down after a major by-election victory by his prominent regional rival, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a strict one-week ultimatum to Belarus, demanding the removal of military equipment used to facilitate Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.

Uzbekistan has officially become the first Central Asian country to join the New Development Bank (NDB) and it marked the significant milestone in the expansion of the BRICS backed multilateral financial institution. The Republic of Uzbekistan formally became the shareholder of the NDB on5th of June, 2026 after completing all the necessary accession procedures and ratifying the bank’s Articles of the Agreement.

Indian jurist Bimal N. Patel was elected as a Judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) on 19 June 2026. He secured 115 votes out of 168 valid votes cast by member states at the United Nations Headquarters in New York during the 36th Meeting of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

 India slams Pakistan at United Nations accusing Islamabad of hosting, training and deploying terrorists.

France is set to inaugurate its first traditional Hindu temple in September. Built with stones from India, the temple highlights cultural ties between India and France.

Iran’s deputy foreign minister urged the Trump administration to ensure Israel complies with the US-Iran deal in an interview with Al Jazeera, saying Tehran wants to continue diplomacy.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the US has the “commitment and responsibility towards ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon”, as per the MoU.

US President Trump said that in “60 days, we have to make a deal, otherwise we will do things that won’t make [the Iranians] happy”.

Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun said Israel’s attacks in Lebanon’s south and the eastern Bekaa Valley were jeopardising continued peace efforts.

There will be occasional ceasefire violations in complex deals like the one reached between the US and Iran – but that doesn’t mean the deal will be made to  fail taking that as ALIBI.

RBI has cancelled the licence of Karnataka's Shree Mahalaxmi Urban Co-operative Credit Bank due to financial weaknesses.

Delhi Police has informed that under Operation CyHawk 5.0, nine hundred sixteen people have been arrested in connection with various online frauds and cybercrimes.

Border Security Force (BSF) has apprehended one accused from Amritsar border with Pakistan with 1 AK-47 rifle, 25 pistols, 368 live cartridges and a bulletproof jacket. BSF conducted the operation in coordination with the Punjab Police near the Indo-Pak International Border in Punjab.

 In the Women’s Under-19 One-Day Trophy organized by the Bihar Cricket Association in Bhagalpur, 19-year-old batsman Akshara Gupta delivered a spectacular performance, scoring an unbeaten 306 runs off just 126 balls. In her innings, Akshara smashed 55 boundaries and 8 sixes. In domestic cricket, this is one of the biggest innings in the history of women’s cricket, second only to Mumbai’s Ira Gupta.
