Coaching Centre Crackdown: Following a tragic fire at an Aliganj coaching center in Lucknow that claimed 15 lives, the Delhi government has ordered rigorous safety inspections of 923 coaching centres across the Delhi-NCR region, leading to immediate sealing operations for violators.

MIS-INFORMATION:

The government has refuted a video circulating on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will provide free air conditioners to people through their Aadhaar cards. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has clarified that the video is fake and AI-generated. The Unit said that no such announcement has been made by the Prime Minister.

TaraTola Warehouse Collapse: Rescue operations are winding down at the under-construction warehouse site in Kolkata, where multiple people were trapped under the debris following a structural failure. 5 Persons died so far, 17 Hospitalized.

There can be three deficiencies, in isolation, or combination:

Building Crackdown: CM  Adhikari has ordered all building designs and structural plans approved during the previous Trinamool regime to undergo safety reviews, with all related construction halted until the end of July.

LAW--CRIME & PUNISHMENT:

 The government has banned the manufacture, sale and distribution of 16 fixed-dose combination (FDC) drugs for human use with immediate effect. I WILL SHARE THE LIST TOMORROW.

 The move follows a Supreme Court-directed review by an expert committee set up by the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, which found the drug combinations lacked therapeutic justification and could pose health risks.

In Arunachal Pradesh, heavy rainfall and flash floods have caused widespread damages at NEEPCO Colony in Yazali circle under Keyi Panyor district yesterday. As per the latest reports, four people are missing.

In Manipur, vehicular movement along  National Highway 37 (Imphal- Jiribam Road) has been completely cut off due to landslides in three different locations in Tamenglong district. Manipur has been witnessing torrential rainfall over the last few days especially in hill districts.

Northwest India: High-velocity thundersqualls with winds hitting up to 70 kmph alongside dust storm risks are projected for West Rajasthan.

Central India: Expect widespread monsoon rainfall across Vidarbha and West Madhya Pradesh, accompanied by lightning and severe gusty winds.

TECHNOLOGY:

The ePlane Company, incubated at IIT Madras, has completed assembly of its full-scale electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the e200X prototype (PT-01), in Chennai. The prototype has entered the ground testing phase, and the company has set commercial production for 2028 with an initial output of 80 aircraft a year.
