Public participation and nation-building: The programme emphasized the importance of citizen participation in environmental protection, cultural heritage, sports, education, and building a developed India.

Kailash Mansarovar Advisory: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued an urgent advisory for Indian pilgrims stranded in Nepal due to severe Chinese visa clearance backlogs.

Amit Shah launched the pilot project of PM Family Care Tracker at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The integrated digital platform will track the health, nutrition and education of beneficiaries from pregnancy until the age of 18 using a unique ID linked to Birth Registration Number or ABHA ID.

Venezuela Earthquake Crisis Rising Toll: Rescue squads from 24 nations raced against time in northern Venezuela following catastrophic twin earthquakes. The confirmed death toll climbed to 1,430 people, with more than 68,000 citizens officially listed as missing. Fresh Aftershocks: A powerful 5.6-magnitude aftershock struck the devastated region on Sunday, triggering additional structural collapses and panic.

International Aid: India deployed two IAF C-17 Globemaster aircraft under Operation Amistad to deliver emergency medical teams and supplies.

An earthquake of 6.1 magnitude rattled northeastern Japan yesterday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a release that conditions are favourable for further advance of the southwest monsoon into some more parts of the North Arabian Sea and some areas of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, among other States, during the next two to three days.  According to weather forecasting agency SKYMET, Delhi is likely to see the arrival of monsoon on July 4 if conditions remain favourable.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an "extremely heavy rainfall" warning for sub-Himalayan West Bengal, warning of active landslides and flash flood conditions near the Bhutan border.

Red & Orange Rainfall Alerts: Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and the Northeast (Assam/Meghalaya) are braced for "extremely heavy" downpours exceeding 20 cm. Flash flood warnings and high landslide risks are active.

Southern Orange Alert: Kerala (Kannur and Kasaragod districts) is under an orange alert for very heavy rain, with the rest of the state under a heavy rain yellow warning.

Heatwave Warnings: Uttar Pradesh and Delhi NCR face continued severe heat today. Temperatures will max out near 40–42°C before a gradual 4–6°C cooling drop brings relief starting Wednesday.

Rajasthan : Extremely hot and clear. The current morning temperature of 32°C will rapidly climb to an afternoon maximum of 41°C, feeling like a scorching 47°C due to high thermal pressure. No rain is expected.

TECHNOLOGY:

Indian nuclear scientists successfully inaugurated a landmark zero-electricity green hydrogen plant in Kalpakkam, which synthesizes hydrogen using direct nuclear reactor heat.
