Delhi
Government has notified a scheme to provide compensation to the next of kin or
legal heirs of prisoners who die an unnatural death while in custody within the
prisons of the National Capital Region.
Andhra
Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has paid tributes to Pingali
Venkayya on his birth anniversary yesterday. the Chief Minister described

Nagaland

Indian
Railways approved a ₹976 crore multitracking project for the 29 km
Danapur–Fatuha section of the East Central Railway in Bihar on 1 August 2026.
The project covers line capacity expansion on the Patna rail corridor and
includes third and fourth railway lines on selected stretches between Danapur,
Patna, Rajendra Nagar, Patna Saheb and Fatuha.
National
Security Adviser Ajit Doval received the Lokmanya Tilak National Award 2026 on
1 August 2026 in Pune, Maharashtra. The award was presented by the Lokmanya
Tilak Smarak Trust on the 106th death anniversary of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar
Tilak. Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the award at the ceremony.
The
Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of the PM-KISAN Scheme from 2026-27
to 2030-31 with a ₹3.15 lakh crore outlay. As per the approval, the scheme will continue
providing for ₹6,000 annually for eligible landholding families.
The
Self-Enumeration facility for Census 2027 has commenced in Assam from 02 Aug.
Rupa
Kheda village in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh is becoming a new model of
modern farming. The village is now known as the ‘Mini Holland of Madhya
Pradesh’ because of its flower cultivation. Earlier, farmers here depended on
traditional crops like wheat, gram, maize and soybean. Now they grow roses,
gerbera, lilies and other flowers, along with high-quality vegetables in
polyhouses and shade net houses. The village has 44 polyhouses and 13 shade net
houses.

Nineteen
years later, Taslimaji revisited Kolkata
- from where the CPM chased her away in 2007. Why? Just to appease the JIHADI MUSLIM VOTE BANK. Then their brilliant student MAMATABANU kept the doors of Kolkata shut for her for the same
reason for 15 more years. After forced exile from her Motherland—she always
said Kolkata is her second home.
Taslimaji
was overwhelmed by the reception she received from people joined her at
Rabindrasadan. People's emotions flowed
unstoppably. Her reception, speeches, poetry readings and songs continued from
5:30 in the afternoon till 12:00 in the night. The people sat as if mesmerized,
watched and listened.
She
was greeted by CM of Bengal, and Tathagata Roy.
The
harmony broke, albeit temporarily, only when once TMC & Mamata Loyalist Joy
Goswami was addressed to climb the Dais.

Bengal told her to return to Kolkata whenever she like. States will ensure her

Telangana
Police have rescued 6,307 children in a month-long special drive called
Operation Muskaan-12, aimed at ending child labour and child trafficking across
the state. The operation ran from 1st to 31st of last month. Around 620 police
personnel from 124 sub-division teams took part. After training on laws and
procedures, teams raided places where child labour is common, including railway
stations, bus stands, temples, brick kilns, mechanic shops, construction sites,
and tea stalls.

GULF WAR:
US
President Donald Trump says negotiations with Iran, likely via intermediaries,

Iranian
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says negotiations between Oman and Iran on the

The

Gaza
Board of Peace chief Nickolay Mladenov says mediators are working “around the

In Indonesia, five persons lost
their lives and 41 are still missing after a ferry carrying 271 passengers and
crew caught fire while at sea off Madura Island yesterday. Country’s Search and
Rescue Agency said, of those on board, 225 have been rescued so far.
In China, four people were killed
and two injured after a fire broke out at a high-rise apartment building in
Changsha, Hunan Province.

Governor Bob Ferguson has declared a statewide emergency and imposed a burn ban
as fast-spreading wildfires, driven by strong winds, scorched nearly 3,000

Himalayas):
Conditions: Generally cloudy sky
with varying spells of rain.
Alerts: A flash flood risk has been
active over watershed areas in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and
Uttarakhand due to saturated soils.
Delhi-NCR: Expect temperatures
ranging around 31°C to 33°C with light to moderate rainfall accompanied by
thunderstorms and lightning.
Outlook: A fresh Western
Disturbance will hit Northwest India starting August further escalating rain activity.
Central & Western Zone:
Conditions: Heavy monsoon fury
continues following a low-pressure area transitioning through southwest
Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Alerts: Gujarat remains on high
alert. Exceptionally heavy rainfall and active low-pressure zones have caused
major flooding and waterlogging across 13 districts. Extreme vigilance is
requested around swollen rivers.🌏
Eastern & Northeastern Zone:
Conditions: Overcast, warm, and
highly humid.
Alerts: The IMD has put the
Northeast on high watch. Rainfall is set to intensify drastically along the
foothills of the central and eastern Himalayas. States like Assam are managing
sensitive flood situations across low-lying districts.
Southern Peninsular Zone:
Conditions: Heavy winds and
widespread coastal rain system.
Alerts: Isolated heavy to very
heavy rainfall is warned over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and South Interior
Karnataka. Strong surface winds reaching 40–50 kmph (gusting up to 60 kmph) are
active over Kerala, Lakshadweep, Telangana, and coastal Andhra Pradesh,
prompting localized marine warnings for fishermen.

The Parliamentary Standing
Committee on External Affairs has suggested in its report that the Central
Government appoints a “Polar Representative” for enabling India to enhance its

17-year old Tanvi became the youngest Taipei Open champion surpassing Taiwan’s

Nehwal in 2008.
