WAR:
The Pentagon reported that two Iranian oil carriers
(including the M/T Downy and M/T Stark 1 were permanently disabled near Kharg
Island and Jask port, while a third unladen tanker was destroyed.
The IRGC has confirmed the attacks on US warships, saying it
launched “several ballistic missiles at a US aircraft carrier and a US Navy
destroyer” that were enforcing a naval blockade on Iranian ports.
The clash marks a sharp escalation in the ongoing six-month
conflict, pushing global oil prices (Brent crude) past $96 a barrel amid
heightened supply fears in the Strait of Hormuz.

FLOOD:
Official death toll from the catastrophic flash floods along
the Nepal-Tibet border has risen to 1,344 people in Nepal, with an additional
31 reported dead on the Tibetan side. Roughly 5,000 people remain missing
across the region, while rescue teams continue a frantic, international search
operation 10 days after the initial disaster.
Hydropower Tunnel Rescue: Rescuers pulled a Chinese
national, Lu Haitao, alive from a 225-metre tunnel at the Trishuli 3A
Hydropower Project. This follows the rescue of two Nepali workers from the same
tunnel the previous day. Nearly 500 workers are still believed to be trapped in
flood-wrecked tunnels across various project sites.
In Nuwakot district, a 60-year-old woman was rescued alive
after being trapped for 10 days under the debris of a four-storey house near Tibbet
border.

Casualties & Crisis Management: Mass Graves and DNA
Tracking: With local morgues completely overwhelmed, the Nepal Police have
temporarily buried approximately 1,030 bodies in mass graves. Before burial,
authorities are collecting DNA samples to allow families to identify their
loved ones later.
Missing Foreigners: Among the missing are 275 Indian
nationals, alongside hundreds of other foreign trekkers and construction
workers.
Widespread Destruction: A preliminary Rapid Damage and Needs
Assessment (RDNA) shows that 7,570 houses and 48 government offices have been
damaged, directly impacting nearly 33,000 people. Over 100 bridges have been
completely washed away.
Continuing Environmental Threats: The Department of
Hydrology and Meteorology issued urgent warnings on Saturday as the waterflow
of the Koshi River crossed its danger mark, forcing low-lying settlements to
prepare for immediate evacuation. Furthermore, experts warn that the original
landslide has formed two to three temporary, debris-dammed lakes near the
border that remain highly unstable and could breach at any time, triggering

has convicted all ten accused in the Jheeram Valley Maoist attack case under
various charges. A total of eleven accused were tried in the case, of whom one

CBI registered a criminal case against Essel Group founder
Subhash Chandra and several entities linked to the group over an alleged Rs
1,322-crore fraud involving LIC Housing Finance Ltd (LICHFL), marking a major
escalation in the legal troubles surrounding the businessman.
In Tamil Nadu, the Directorate of Vigilance and
Anti-Corruption (DVAC) is conducting searches at the residences and premises
linked to former Minister K. N. Nehru in
Thillai Nagar, Tiruchirappalli. During

In Manipur, two cadres of outlaw armed group United Kuki
National Army (UKNA) were killed and two others injured in an operation jointly
conducted by Indian Army and Assam Rifles team in the jungle area of
Churachandpur district.
Three people were killed and over 100 injured in separate
incidents related to Dahi Handi celebrations in Maharashtra. In Mumbai, a
seven-year-old boy died after a brick column collapsed on him during a local
Dahi Handi celebration in Malvani.
In Mumbai, 118 people were admitted or treated for injuries,
with five admitted, 80 under treatment and 33 discharged, while 10 people were
injured in Thane.
