Railway Expansion Approved: The Union Cabinet sanctioned eight major multi-tracking projects to expand rail tracks to four lines in high-density corridors. The ₹20,800+ crore infrastructure push aims to significantly reduce train delays and boost freight connectivity across nine states.

PM-SETU Scheme Allocation: The National Steering Committee under the PM-SETU initiative approved ₹735.70 crore Strategic Investment Plans to upgrade Industrial Training Institute (ITI) clusters in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana.

Expressway Expansion: The Uttar Pradesh government proposed a new Greater Noida–Ganga Expressway link, designed to cut down travel time across critical economic zones to just 30–45 minutes.

BENGAL FILES:

The West Bengal government formally told the Supreme Court of India that custodial interrogation is necessary for Sumit Roy, the personal assistant to TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee.  I think Judiciary  & Investigation Officers expects the HARDCORE criminals to confess their crime. It will not happen unless they are put in Jail for a long time on ground of Circumstantial evidence. MiLords are ignoring this aspects and are  providing relief by issuing bails.

The BJP national leadership announced that national president Nitin Nabin will arrive in West Bengal on September 15 for crucial organisational meetings ahead of the state's upcoming civic polls and Assembly by-elections.

A POSSIBLE FORETHOUGHT: EC will declare ‘RWITA TMC’ as valid TMC just before By-Election, and also before SC hearing.  and they will own the ‘GHASH-PHUL’ Logo. In such scenario, K-Ghat TMC possibly will not compete. Also—the case at SC on 20 MP will be withdrawn by validated TMC. But—another case on LOGO will be filed, against ruling of EC at SC by K-Ghat TMC.

Rajnath Singh Visits Sri Lanka: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Colombo for a landmark visit, signing MoUs with Sri Lanka on upgrading L70 anti-aircraft guns and bolstering maritime defence lines. Colombo formally assured New Delhi that its territory will never be used against India’s security interests.

Condemnation of Houthi Strikes: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officially condemned the drone and ballistic missile attacks launched by Yemen's Houthi rebels against Saudi Arabia. The MEA called the escalation an unacceptable threat to the freedom of maritime navigation in the critical Bab-el-Mandeb strait.

Women in BRICS Trade: Ahead of the upcoming summit in New Delhi, Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced that India is actively collaborating with its partners to aggressively expand global trade opportunities specifically for women-led enterprises.

Global North-South Bridge: South Africa's High Commissioner Anil Sooklal highlighted in an interview that India has successfully positioned itself as a unique global diplomatic force, gaining strong acceptance across both the Global North and the Global South.

UK-Israel Diplomatic Clash: A major rift opened after British Cabinet Minister Ed Miliband accused Israeli settler groups of conducting "ethnic cleansing" in the West Bank and subsequently tightened UK arms export restrictions. In immediate retaliation, Israel ordered the closure of the British Consulate in East Jerusalem.

Reaffirming aggressive economic shifts, reports emerged that the Trump administration is seeking wide-scale access to Venezuela's gold and mineral sectors following the controversial takeover of its oil reserves earlier this year.

NEPAL FLOOD:

 Official situational updates on September 9 reported that over 1,360 people are confirmed dead and around 5,100 people remain missing including nearly 600 foreigners.

Officials confirmed that 670 Nepali citizens who had been stranded in Chinese territory past the Kerung border point were successfully rescued and brought home alive.

A rapid assessment published on September 9 by child protection experts and Save the Children revealed that about 540 children have been separated from their parents or left completely unaccompanied in the two weeks since the floods. Over 1,230 children are currently living in temporary holding centres.

India dispatched its 8th relief flight carrying 35 tonnes of aid to Kathmandu, while the Sri Lankan envoy met with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal to hand over $1 million in emergency financial relief.

Nepali Army began utilizing advanced cargo drones (like the DJI Fly Cart 100) to deliver essential food and medicine to cut-off communities to overcome inaccessibility.

GULF WAR:

Tanker and Maritime Attacks: The U.S. Central Command struck five Iranian crude oil carriers in the Gulf of Oman and near Kharg Island. In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guards stated they attacked 10 ships, including multiple oil tankers, setting several vessels on fire in the Persian Gulf.

Strikes on Land: Iran launched ballistic missiles at a base used by U.S. forces in Jordan. Jordanian air defences intercepted the majority of these incoming missiles with no reported U.S. casualties.

Expansion in Yemen and Saudi Arabia: Iran-backed Houthi forces expanded the conflict by launching attacks on four cities in southern Saudi Arabia, which set oil facilities ablaze and injured over 70 people.

Surge in Oil Prices: The growing maritime and regional instability pushed international energy markets past a key threshold, with Brent crude rising above $100 a barrel.

IAEA Non-Compliance Action: In a major diplomatic shift on September 9, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board of governors passed a formal resolution referring Iran to the UN Security Council for the first time in 20 years. IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi cited a critical lack of information regarding Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium and the refusal to grant inspection access to damaged facilities.

 CRIME & PUNISHMENT:

India’s Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) recommended a detailed probe into tech giant Xiaomi over alleged corporate and business irregularities.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), alongside the Kolkata Police and West Bengal Fire Services, issued temporary closure notices to 919 hotels and guest houses across the city.

 The KMC officially suspended the FSSAI licenses of 40 prominent food outlets and sweet shops in Kolkata,  on account of unhygienic, or rotten raw materials being used. The actions followed extensive on-the-spot inspections of 592 locations during the state's Special Food Safety Week. Officials destroyed 1,224 kg of rotten, stale, and expired food items.

Beyond Kolkata, the West Bengal Government's special campaign resulted in the closure of 13 food processing units and the sealing of six purified-water bottling plants across districts like North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, and Birbhum. This is for the first time State Government undertook this much needed action neglected by previous governments. Even during TMC rule, it got revealed that rotten DOG MEAT were used in the restaurants—but strong follow-up actions were not placed in place. TOLABAZI…

Monsoon Deficit Reported: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) released data showing that cumulative seasonal monsoon rainfall across India remained 15% below normal as of September 09.

Kolkata-based defence shipyard Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) officially launched ORV Sagar Manthan at the Rishi Bankim Shipyard.

The ₹840-crore indigenously built research vessel is being constructed for the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR).It marks a massive advancement in India's deep-sea exploration, polar tracking, and scientific mapping capabilities, with an expected deployment readiness date set for early 2028.
