After that election date may be announced for the FIVE due states including Bengal. 2.0    A minimum gap of 25 days is typically maintained between the formal announcement of election dates and the first day of polling. 3.0    Average Duration of Assembly elections are held approximately 4 to 6 weeks (30 to 45 days) after the schedule is announced. 4.0    This may take us to end of April. It will be HOT. 5.0    Election most likely to be held in two stages. I think single stage will be better to minimize disturbance by Motor Cycle bound TMC Goons. 6.0    It will be direct fight between TMC, and BJP, excepting in 5 seats.
