ELECTION FORECAST—2024 ## PART-1

AN ISSUE BASED ANALYSIS

SARASIJ MAJUMDER

OPPOSITION  can’t search out any real issue that they can inflate, and use to fight against the BJP/NDA,  for 2024 LS elections.  Their PM face is RG, not by CHOICE, but by DEFAULT!! Let's see the issues that Opposition can think of taking on against the BJP if at all they choose to:

  1. Roads and infrastructure??-- Nitin Gadkari has done more in 8 years than the Congress did in 60 years. He will rip RG apart with data if at all he chooses to fool people that BJP hasn't been good in building roads. Hence, Infrastructure is cancelled.
  2. Foreign policy??-- Can he put any person, leave alone him, against Jaishankar from his party to counter on foreign policy?? Even Shashi Tharoor will not win in a debate with Jaishankar on Geopolitics. We have the best foreign policy under the Modi govt. Moreover—Mr. Tharoor has praised JS on many occasions on his performance Hence, Foreign policy , thus gets  Cancelled from the AGENDA.
  3. Economy??-- How much ever fun he can make of Nirmala Sitaraman but the fact of the matter is Indian economy is doing good and projected to have a good journey as well. The proof lies in the eating of  pudding. The IMF data shows that clearly. Hence, economy is cancelled. There are people who complain on Modi for not being capitalist enough and here this JOKER who thinks he can take on Modi through socialism. Even former RBI GOVERNOR Mr. RAJAN recently praised NDA handsomely.
  4. Railways??-- The unimaginable transformation of railways under Piyush Goyal and Ashwini Vaishnaw is something that the Congress cannot even dream of to achieve. Can he show one person from his party who can ensure better transformation than what Goyal and Vaishnaw have done? Hence, railways are also  cancelled.
  5. Welfare Schemes? Can the Congress even match itself with the design and delivery of welfare schemes by the Modi govt? With no middle men and DBT, we have the 100% that's reaching the beneficiaries. Hence welfare schemes are cancelled.
  6. Reforms? Can he even think of getting the article 370 abrogated, ban on triple talak, GST, demonetization, NPA monetization, labour laws, farm laws etc? All he knows is oppose everything that the ruling dispensation brings in without even understanding the ABCs of them. Hence, reforms are cancelled.

With no issue to counter Modi's govt, he, and Opposition  is left with only religious card which they play very cleverly but accuses the BJP on playing it. Hence he thinks:

·         COMMUNAL HATRED,

  • Hindus and Hindutva, against Seularism, and
  • Modi is a fascist ;

alone will win election for him. He is simply living in a fools paradise thinking others are fools.

His next move, already started—through BHARAT JODO YATRA, and I.N.D.I.A. will be an attempt on consolidating the opposition to bring Modi down which he will, eventually  fail in 2024 as well like it failed in 2019.

To really take on Modi, he has to assure and offer something more than what the BJP is offering now. The standards of design and delivery of schemes are set very high by the NDA govt. It's not that easy to take Mr. MODI on through 'real’ issues.
