A 19-year-old white tiger Named 'Sameer',  died at Sri Venkateshwara (SV) Zoological Park (Tirupati Zoo) on Sunday due to age-related ailments. The big cat was transferred to  from Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad in 2011 when he was five years old.

Two simultaneous low-pressure systems are developing over the seas surrounding peninsular India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said, warning of potential intensification over the next 48 hours. According to the latest IMD bulletin, a well-marked low-pressure area persists over the Kumarakom coast and the adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued a strongly worded note mourning the deaths of three aspiring Afghan cricketers – Kabeer Agha, Sibghatullah, and Haroon, killed in a Pakistan airstrike in Afghanistan’s Paktika province. The players had returned home after participating in a friendly cricket match when they were killed in an attack that also claimed the lives of several civilians.
