TUNNEL WAR AT GAZA SARASIJ MAJUMDER Egypt relinquished its claim to Gaza in the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty of 1978. The treaty, known as the Camp David Accords, called for Israel to establish Palestinian self-rule in the territory instead. Jordan agreed to a similar Liberation Organization   term in the 1980s, giving up its claims on the West Bank in favour of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Since the Israel–Palestine Liberation Organization letters of recognition of 1993, the Gaza Strip came under the jurisdiction of the Palestinian Authority. Israel unilaterally disengaged from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Since then, GAZA is occupied by HAMAS, and they are carrying out missile attacks on ISRAEL from GAZA. As Israel ground forces has started entering Gaza, the major obstacle IDF facing is   sanitizing network of tunnels. The secret tunnel labyrinth comprises about 1,300 tunnels spanning throughout the Strip. Hamas claims that the total length of the tunnels stretch o

THREE GENOCIDES IN 20 th   CENTURY SARASIJ MAJUMDER During the 20th century, three notorious Head of States emerged who left an indelible mark on history- - Adolf Hitler , Mao Zedong, and Josef Stalin. All three were responsible for the deaths of millions of people, but why is Hitler often regarded as eviller than Mao,   and Stalin despite the Mao having a higher death toll? Let’s delve into this intriguing question. While it is true that Mao’s policies and actions resulted in a staggering loss of life, estimated to be around 60–70 million, including those who died during the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, it is essential to understand the context in which these atrocities occurred. Hitler’s evilness is often highlighted due to the nature of his regime and the systematic extermination of specific groups, most notably Jews, during the Holocaust. The Holocaust alone claimed the lives of around 6 million Jews, along with millions of others deemed undesirable by th

Nupur Sharma participated in a debate on the Gyan Vapi Mosque dispute on the  Times Now  television channel. According to Smt. Sharma, in response to remarks ( derogatory to  Hindu  god  Shiva ) by her opposition speaker and by many Muslim personalities on social media, she replied regarding  Muhammad  and the  age  of one of his wives,  Aisha , noting that Aisha was 6-years-old when married, and 9 when the marriage was consummated. However, she was merely quoting from the  hadith . On 1 June, Naveen Kumar Jindal tweeted remarks perceived to be derogatory to Muhammed. After the tweet attracted backlash in the  Arab world , Jindal deleted the tweet and said he did not intend to demean any faith. Shoaib Daniyal from  Scroll.in  and  Vir Sanghvi  from  Hindustan Times  stated that even though there is a history of intense sectarianism in Indian media debates, politicians at a senior

Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind(JuH) Their stand on abrogation of Article 370 SARASIJ MAJUMDER If we delve into history of Freedom Struggle of India, we observe   Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind fought for Independence along with congress in Khalifat movement and also opposed Partition of India. In 1951   it passed a resolution that Kashmir is an integral Part of India and repeated it in mid-60’s also. There is no change in their policy since Independence. In that context only, after observing that abrogation of article 370 is being termed as religious conflict by our enemy nation as well as some of the anti-national forces in India, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has passed this resolution to affirm their old policy. Resolution:- T op Muslim body Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (JuH) on Thursday, 12 September, 2019, came out in support of the Centre's decision on abrogating provisions of Article 370, saying Kashmir is an "integral part" of the country and the welfare of people in the valley lies in thei

HAMAS AND HEZBOLLAH SARASIJ MAJUMDER They exist together bound by their common hatred of ,   and their compulsive mission to destroy ISRAEL. Without that common thread, they would be fighting each other. Hamas is a group of Sunni Muslims while Hezbollah is made up of Shia Muslims. Hezbollah was established in the wake of the 1982 Lebanon War by Lebanese clerics who had studied in Najaf. It adopted the model of Islam set out by Ayatollah Khomeini after the Iranian Revolution in 1979, and the party's founders adopted "Hezbollah" as the name chosen by Khomeini. “HEZBOLLA” means the army of ALLAH . Ayatollah Khomeini was a senior Islamic jurist cleric of Shia (Twelvers) Islam. That is how—Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Iran got connected. And politically—IRAN gets involved in war against Israel. They have not worked together or coordinated their efforts because of this fact. Unlike Hamas, Hezbollah has, to date, not gone to war only for the Palestinian cause. Hezboll

INDIA’S BALANCING ACT Israel--Palestine Conflict SARASIJ MAJUMDER Background: India's historical stance on the Israel-Palestine conflict leaned towards Palestine, driven   factors being  Mahatma Gandhi's opposition to a Jewish state in Palestine , India's large Muslim population, and the need to maintain good relations with Arab countries. India’s position with regard to Palestine was also guided by the general consensus in the Arab world, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the majority sentiment in United Nations. When the partition of Palestine plan was put to vote at the UN, India voted against, along with the Arab countries. India also opposed Israel's admission to the UN. During the  Cold War,  India aligned itself with the Soviet Union, which supported the Arab states, thus perpetuating its pro-Palestine position. Shift in India's Policy: It was only after the end of the Cold War that Prime Minister Narasimha Rao took the bold step of establishing

CHUKNAGAR HINDU GENOCIDE KHULNA, East Pakistan—1971 SARASIJ MAJUMDER Today, I am going to share the story of the  Chuknagar   Hindu genocide when 10, 000 Hindus  were killed by the MUSLIMS ( Mlechhas)   in one single day. Chuknagar is a small town in the Khulna district of Bangladesh, then East Pakistan. Khulna is the third largest town of Bangladesh, after Dhaka and Chittagong, and is located in the south-west corner of the country. Chukanagar is a small town in this district and near border India (Bharat). Now let me trace your memory to the events in Bangladesh during 1971. Though the Pakistan Army was battling Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Mukti Bahini in East Pakistan, it was the common Hindus who were bearing the brunt. There wasn't a single day when some Hindu man, woman or child weren't killed, raped, wounded or abducted by the Muslims. East Pakistan was a living hell for Bengali Hindus during 1971. In May 1971, a rumor spread that INDIA was invading East Pakistan

Mrs. Rajkumari Kaul died of a cardiac arrest.   Her death marked the end of a friendship unlike any Indian politics has ever seen or will probably ever see. Four years before Atal Bihari Vajpayee breathed his last, at his the then residence, Krishna Menon Marg in Delhi, there was another death, which escaped the media glare. The day was May 3, 2014. Still, the house saw a steady stream of visitors including the then Congress president Sonia Gandhi .. Narendra Modi, who was busy campaigning for the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, could not attend the last rites of Mrs Kaul, unarguably Delhi's 'most famous unknown other half'. She was having blood relationship

The Bad Guy ISRAEL, and an old joke. SARASIJ MAJUMDER There is an old joke about Israel. An Israeli, an American and a Russian were having a drink in a bar. Suddenly, a terrorist walks in and threatens to kill all of them but grants them one last WISH each. The American uses his last wish to order his last meal. The Russian used his last wish to have time to write a letter to his wife. When it came to the Israeli's turn, he requested that the terrorist kick him in the ass. The terrorist was confused at first, but then realized the Israeli must've been mocking at him, so the terrorist in anger fulfilled the Israeli's request and kicked him from behind. The Israeli went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9mm pistol from under his jacket and shot the terrorist dead. The American and Russian were both confused and asked, “why didn't you just shoot him in the first place? Why did you ask him to kick you?” The Israeli shrugged and said, “if I had

THE RIGHT OF A FOETUS SARASIJ MAJUMDER IN GENERAL RIGHT TO LIFE SHALL PREVAIL OVER RIGHT TO CHOOSE. The Judgement The Supreme Court on 16/10/23 declined to permit a married woman, who is a mother of two, to terminate her 26-week pregnancy.   DY Chandrachud-headed bench said the foetus was healthy and the AIIMS medical board found no abnormality in it. The court said it is up to the woman to keep the child after birth or give up for adoption.   The rationale The top court said there is no immediate threat to the mother.   Naib Subedar Bana Singh- The Forgotten Hero of Siachen SARASIJ MAJUMDER Bana Top (20,500 ft) is the highest post in the Siachen region, which requires 80 km and 20-day trek for troops. Pahalwan Post (about 20,000 ft) and posts near Indira Col (about 19,000 ft) are other high posts. In the year 1987, Pakistani Special Service Group (SSG) launched a successful raid to occupy a key peak in Indian territory and named it Quaid Post after Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. In short—QUAID peak. OPERATION RAJIV, PART OF OPERATION MEGHDOOT, was launched on 25 June 1987 to avenge the loss of JAK LI soldiers in this peak and to capture Quaid post. The enemies had the advantage of sitting at a height and the SSG commandos could watch Indian soldiers from an overhang position. Initially, Bana Singh was not selected in the team of 60 for this task but Col Rai handpicked him. The weather was beyond imagination, the temperature dropped to near -50 degrees Celsius, winds were blowing at 50 km/
